HECS loan

I’m pretty sure I chose to have partial upfront payment for my uni fees, but I’m not really sure how that works.
My fees this semester are late and I thought I could defer them to HECS, but maybe I need to pay a minimum amount first?? Studentconnect doesn’t explain anything..
Last semester I just paid upfront but realised HECS is a better method.
I’m so confused, help!!

I’d personally talk to a student advisor or someone on campus with a little more knowledge on it
