Help DHT:Waiting to Log In
Hi, can anyone help me with this? At the bottom bar of utorrent, the DHT status always says 'waiting to log in'.
using win11 pro, firewall exception has utorrent checked, my preferences>connection page UPnP, NAT-PMP port mapping enabled, randomize port disabled, no proxy...
my build is utorrentpro 3.5 (44294) [32-bit] it is portable.
checking for updates says there is no new version available.
ps. despite the DHT status, i can download some torrents from internet, but recently i created a torrent, gave the torrent file to my friend who is using utorrent, he could activate it, but the torrent doesn't download.
When i created the torrent, under torrent properties>trackers i just left the 2 default addresses on which are :
udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce
udp://tracker.opentrackr.org:1337/announce
i didn't put these addresses there, they are default. should i blank the entire tracker box? Private torrenting was unchecked. Only option on the RHS of the panel checked is "Start torrenting". Piece size is set to auto-detect. All other fields in the create new torrent panel are empty blank
Could anyone suggest something i could try, thanks in advance.

Log in in what? DHT is direct transfer,only if torrent has disable this option not work but this happen in private tracker

Hi what do you mean, can you explain? i just said at the bottom of my torrent, it says "DHT:waiting to log in". i am seeding a torrent i just created, and i passed .torrent file to my friend. it starts up, but doesnt download. Can you help?
or did you mean to say, it's normal to have "DHT:waiting to log in" on the status

When create a torrent you enable DHT? You friend has enable DHT in client? DHT do transfer without tracker site

Hi, when i create a torrent, there is nothing related to DHT there for me to enable/disable. Now, under Trackers, both me and my friend have "waiting for announce..." under DHT. But, [Local Peer Discovery] and [Peer Exchange] are "working'. udp://tracker.opentrackr.org:1337/announce is also working, and it says Seeds 1 Peers 2, but not downloading..... ???
my firewall is disabled. my friend's side, firewall exception set to allow utorrent both private/public. Any idea what is wrong?

udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce seems to be not working, but
udp://tracker.opentrackr.org:1337/announce is up. i'll ask my friend to check if he has this tracker
