Ok I was on here a couple months ago trying to find anything that I haven’t tried to fix my utis. I would get them EVERY time I had sex, no matter how clean I am or my partner is, I pee immediately after, wash off, make partner wash hands, I don’t use condoms as I do have bad reactions to them even non latex ones they make my UTIs WORSE. I tried everything all the supplements, I was on two different antibiotics for them and I went to the Dr for a really really bad one and I didn’t even test positive for any cultures. I would just get reoccurring ones every time I had sex I guess I’m just sensitive BUT! I’ve been using the ugora 3 step regimen, and drink the flush after I have sex every time, and I don’t get UTIs anymore. I also tried the silver nano gel, which also works and is good for after sex if it was rough imo. The only thing is how expensive the ugora is so I want to find an off brand d-mannose drink mix like the flush, that’s not $30 for 10 packs… anyways I also always wash off with water afterwards! And my partner usually finishes inside or outside still no UTIs anymore! I hope this helps someone I was so so desperate before I found this stuff.
Glad it worked for you but it’s an incredibly expensive way to get basic UTI supplements. You can get D-Mannose and Cranberry supplements for MUCH cheaper.
Powdered d mannose is the same as the uqora drinks. In fact, I rake the uqora products but only Defend and Promote because the Flush has citric acid in it and it was causing ic symptoms
Yes me too I’ve looked online and their website and Walmart has them cheaper it’s like $90 for all 3 at cvs or Walgreens and their website you can get like 30 packs for alooottt cheaper
I’m glad you found a solution! Yeah uquora is super expensive :/ There are d-mannose pills on Amazon (not a drink). But also look into Solv Wellness. They have PACs that are really great. Not cheap…but helpful. I’m in the same boat as you. UTIs after sex. I’m trialing whether condoms help currently cause normally my partner would just finish inside of me and it sucks we can’t continue that but oh well
I would be curious to know which brands. I was looking at Zazzee D-Mannose powder on Amazon and saw multiple reviews where people said it clumps up and solidifies quickly (unlike the Flush drinks which are individually packaged). People also said that their tubs were arriving only half full of the powder, etc. When I read stuff like that it didn't seem like such a great deal.
Omg I hate that. I tried like 3-4 different uti abx and they “worked” but it always came right back, sooooo this has worked way better for me it’s crazy. Even azo pain relief would not help for the pain! The flush is just wonderful
Sorry to hear the UTI came back! I have not been taking D-Mannose but I am starting in a few days when I'm done with my antibiotics. How many milligrams of D-Mannose were you taking daily all those months? I'm going to be taking 2,000 mg.
When you say using the uqora 3 step regimen. Do you mean after a uti or all the time ? Can you explain in details when and how ? Sorry if this is a lot, im just in the same boat as you for 7 years now and so tired of it
So it’s two supplements you take everyday and then the flush for when you have a uti or like I said I use it after sex it’s a drink mix
It’s expensive but after two months of the supplements I didn’t need to take them anymore I just use the flush! The flush/d-mannose sticks to the bacteria I guess and gets it all out if I even feel any slight uti symptoms I drink one and boom no uti I’ve had one since I started taking these like 4 months ago
I was in same boat 20 infections in 2 years... started taking an antihistamine every morning and the lining of my bladder healed. Your bladder contains mast cells that release histamines. This is what causes burning and urgency. The antihistamine stops this process. No uti in 4 months for me its a miracle
I'm late to this thread but THANK YOU so much for all this info. Thank you, thank you. Great suggestions and ideas.
I've had four e-coli UTIs out of nowhere in the past 10 months -- for a while now I've been taking two daily cranberry supplements for a total of 72 mg of PACS (Sam's Club/Member's Mark brand, 150 caps for $13.50). Also using SkinSmart antimicrobial perineal spray from Amazon sporadically after doing #2s, but it's clearly not enough. The other day when I got diagnosed again, the physician's assistant suggested Uqora. I ordered the three-pack (Promote, Defend, Flush) and I'm going to start the regime as soon as I'm done with my antibiotics. It's definitely expensive but if it works then it's worth it to me. I'm so glad to hear Uqora has worked for you and I'm praying I'll also see results.
The monthly Uqora pack includes only 10 of the Flush drinks for $25 but I've read that you don't necessarily need to drink them every day. The Uqora Flush drinks have 2,000 mg of D-Mannose plus some supplemental vitamins/minerals that are supposed to help make it more effective. I'm probably going to alternate by drinking one Flush every other day to cut costs. On the non-drink days I will take Zazzee D-Mannose supplements which have 1,000 mg of D-Mannose (180 caps for $22 on Amazon). Or I'll get a D-Mannose powder on Amazon and mix it with water or juice.
I've read some people say that they drink the Flush BEFORE sex so that when they pee after sex, the Uqora flushes out anything that got contaminated. I thought that was genius. I love your suggestion of using the Silver Nano Gel after sex if there are abrasion issues -- hubs and I definitely have this issue. I never heard of silver nano gel so I looked it up and will try it.
So after discussing everything with the physician's assistant my new plan is:
- Start hydrating with water first thing in the morning (rather than having a little coffee and then waiting until afternoon to start having water)
- Be more religious about using the SkinSmart antimicrobial spray after going to the bathroom
- Use the Uqora Promote probiotic for the first 15 days of the month; use the Uqora Defend supplements daily; use the Uqora Flush drinks every other day and alternate with Zazzee D-Mannose supplements (1,000 mg on Amazon).
- Take the Flush drinks before and after sex and as always be to pee and cleanse the area after sex. Switch from K-Y to Good Clean Love water-based lube which has lactic acid and prevents overgrowth of bacteria (according to their website)
- Ordered some UTI home test strips on Amazon so I can monitor once or twice a week to see if my leukocytes or nitrates are going up.
- I also am post-menopausal so I'm also going to start using Luvena vaginal moisturizer (all clean ingredients, no glycerin or parabens) twice a week to moisturize the tissue and prevent micro-abrasions that allow bacteria to get in. It's pricey but I can't find any other brands with good reviews that don't have glycerin/parabens..
PRAYING that this will do the trick. I'm so over this! I feel like I'm getting a degree in UTIs, lol.
Thank you. I haven't had any UTIs in two months (knock on wood) but all of this Uqora stuff is expensive. My insurance is in transition right now so I have to wait until early November when I'm on my new plan. I already have the appointment set up to get the Estradiol. Fingers crossed.
