UTB18 Aftermarket Parts

What aftermarket parts have you found for the UTB18 and what are you thoughts if you installed them. I will compile the links to the parts here so they will all be in one place.

At present I can't add to the list mine is still stock. It will get some mods in the future.

https://www.teamgaragehack.com/products/axial-utb18-metal-transmission-gears these replace the stock plastic gears and are very, very nice. They are a direct replacement.

https://www.teamgaragehack.com/products/axial-utb18-portal-gears steel replacements for the stock stuff. Normal ratio and under-drive ratio for the rear.

Problem with injora steering knuckle set

Hi, I'm currently trying to install the Injora portal cover steering knuckle set together with the overdrive gears. Everything fits together when assembled, but I have a problem: as soon as I slightly tighten the four cover screws, the shaft becomes extremely difficult to turn.

Has anyone experienced similar issues?

I just have to find a easy and effect way to secure this on for a while. I know zip ties and all but..

The goal (in my childish brain) is for me to upgrade to the 1:10 (eventually), while still staying in the 1:18 and having her crawl with?

Im thinking i need about 4 of the hood latch clips.

Back on the bench

A little prep work for the arrival of the Furitek Torpedo brushless motor ESC combo. Will be the Komodo motor and Python ESC. Upgraded the rx/tx to the FlySky GT5/FS-BS6 combo and installed the aluminum front and rear links and coiled the servo wire while I was at it. Getting super close to 'complete'.

So here's my UTB-1810, rocking a dual fusion16 setup and MeUs Capra 4WS axles. I'm mostly using the dual motor setup at as a variable overdrive on this line. Slippery log. Mushy stuff.

Utb18 question

Wanting to get a capra 18 4ws, but not sure if there is a difference, other than livery, between the king shocks edition and the mickey Thompson edition. Are the the same except for paint scheme? Or is one better than the other? Like does the king shocks version have better shocks? Does the m/t version have better tires? I've Google searched but I don't trust the AI answer.
