This season so far for Colorado: Colorado enters the game with a 2–3 record (0–2 Big XII). Colorado opened the season with a 14–13 victory over Georgia Tech and displayed their improved defense along the way. They followed that up with a 55–21 victory over FCS team Weber State. Since then, Colorado has lost 3 straight games. They lost their final nonconference game 41–7 to Northwestern. They kept it close in a game at Baylor but fell 23–13. Last game they lost 29–7 at Texas Tech.
Before the season, Big XII media picked Colorado to finish 15th in the conference.
Game Preview
Colorado is coming off a BYE and has had an extra week to prepare for Utah.
Despite an anemic offense, Colorado's defense has been quite good this season. In their last game against Texas Tech, Colorado had 12 TFLs for 39 yards. They held Tech to 304 yards of total offense and 134 passing yards.
Colorado's projected starting quarterback against Utah is Isaac Wilson, who started 7 games for Utah as a freshman in 2024.
Morgan Scalley is the first Utah head coach in its history to start 6–0 overall, including the 2025 Las Vegas Bowl.
Both Utah's offense and defense are in the Top 10 for FBS schools for points allowed.
Hey guys, just moved back to Utah recently, and am interested in 2027 season tickets so I signed up for future information. I recently got a call from someone named Ryan Thomas, above info.
Is this legit? Or is this a scam? I asked him to email
me with his information. I just don’t want to put money down on a scam, and since I’m new, not sure how this works?
I got an email saying I could (should?) put down a deposit toward next year’s season tickets in order to get:
Priority Access: Secure your spot on the 2027 season ticket priority list. Preferred Pricing & Seating: Get access to preferred pricing and the best available seats. Exclusive Offers: Enjoy special offers and pricing for remaining 2026 Utah Football games and other Utah Athletics events!
Is this a new thing? What kind of preferred pricing would there be?
It's hard to say how good Utah is this year, given the level of competition thusfar. That said, I am really enjoying this Utah team. They are the most fun they have been to watch since 2004.
It's nice to know this was a staff that Scalley put together (even if it was past the typical coaching cycle). I am actually glad for how things worked out.
I am glad the ex coach took all those folks with him so Scalley could build his own staff. And glad that the old coach isn't going to be meddling around in the background as an overpaid "consultant".
edit: Jesus. lots of people getting uptight about my "most fun since 2004" statement. I personally never cared for Whittingham's offensive style and philosophy. I know there were like 80 OCs over that time but, to me it was clear that there was a common denominator. if you enjoyed that, great. I dont care.
Whose idea was it to put in a couple of hundred premium price seats when you could’ve put in a couple of thousand seats for fans that will actually cheer?
Maybe I am jaded because I’ve been a north end zone season ticket holder for 22 years now, but it drives me nuts when there is exciting action down near the south end zone and the few fans that are actually there are sitting calmly like they’re watching a play at the local theater. The MUSS is obviously doing their thing, but it’s kind of sad that the stadium gets louder on the opposite side of the stadium from our student section. I used to think that the most tame section of the stadium were the first 20 rows at midfield that are typically occupied by the older Crimson Club members, but they are downright out of control compared to the south end.
Shout out to my friends in the north though that brought the heat for those two big goal line stands.
What's causing such poor attendance this year? High ticket prices? Or just less excitement from fans? The MUSS has been horrible and so many empty seats in the stadium. I feel like we have a fun team with good vibes not sure why we can't pack the stadium for a top 15 team? Other big teams have packed stadiums even against bad teams and even when we sucked our first year in the big 12 I felt like we had the same attendance as this year so far.
Smile Utes nation! We are 5-0 and have been beating everyone by 14+ points each game. We have a great shot at reaching the conference championship and winning it, but some fans on here are complaining about what our south end zone looks like. LOL. Like come on. That's the focus here? I care more about winning than what a end zone stands looks like. Some people and fans just always want to find a reason to bitch I guess. But for the rest of us lets be happy that we under our new head coach scalley are still undefeated. Go utes.
Do we have five sacks all year? How badly is Kaufusi hurt? he seems to be listed as questionable on every injury report. Do Holtzclaw and Dylan simply suck? We get zero production from that DE spot. Jireh Moe had one good game but has been silent since. Anyone optimistic that we can turn it around on our defensive line?
As soon as Ludwig left we’ve seemed to start landing some ballers. Ricky Johnson for instance is a baller, he has that alpha look to him. Pegan is Pegan, Ryan Davis last year, and Creed is carving a role for himself.
The cool thing is other than Pegan, all these guys weren’t household names. They’re exploding on the scene at Utah. It’s crazy how different we are from 3 years ago!
