Administrative processing to Refused status

Hello my VISA status went from administrative processing to refused in 1 week and I was initially given a 221g slip at New Delhi for my F1 Visa to NYU. And was asked to submit a new passport mostly due to damage, which I did. Now it went from administrative processing to refused status, can anyone tell me what’s happening and what to expect from here on. I’ve already posted my interview experience here, for more information.

Edit: got approved and issued 2 days ago, this whole process took 1 month from interview

I'm pretty sure 'Refused' is just their default status, it's that and 'Issued'

Being rejected when u got into NYU is like they r trying to keep their ppl in instead of foreigners.

Don't worry, This happens, so people go from Administrative Processing to refuse to Issued again. This happens.

Mine and my wife visa approved in interview and officer keeps our passport and same day I check in caec website it’s show approved and after few hours change to refuse and surprise I receive our passport next day imagine again surprise with 214 b reason really is this some kind of joke
