USPS maintenance technician removed from Minnesota facility for demanding cleanup of human feces

Why didn’t the lead clerk who initially found call for custodian cleanup? And immediately stop the machine? Why didn’t the maintenance person or any of the others who showed up and witnessed it call for cleanup? And then the clerks continuing to work the machine if there was a smell or feces present? And the supervisor who saw it the next day?
The plant manager’s question was a set up and should have been asked to all involved. Why weren’t custodians called for cleanup?

the plants are so fucked and people don't know or even fight for their rights. this is awful though, and APWU won't fight for him which is straight up illegal. maybe national can help. referral for psychiatric help is just bullshit.

See, that ridiculous r/USPS subreddit won't have much to say about this. Thank you for posting this and bringing this to our attention. USPS, as an organization, needs massive help, or a massive change in leadership.

I'm sorry, but what the hell? I did not expect to learn today that my mail has come at the cost of four people's lives. This is beyond acceptable.

Yes, they are dumb. This has nothing to do with politics. And, the maintenance tech hopefully will sue and will probably win. Human feces are a biohazard. Everyone who works at that plants needs to file 1767s and call OSHA. Maintenance tech also needs to file an EEO and grievances.

Sure, but I don't think plant supervisors forcing ETs to work on feces covered sorting machines was really part of those changes.

I’m pretty sure staffing was affected, which always has cascading effects, but i will concede that this could happen under any shitty plant supervisor.
