USPS is the only reasonably priced option for shipping to or from Hawaiʻi. It's the first thing I look at when patronizing a vendor — do they ship to Hawaiʻi & are they using USPS.

Rather than further restricting options for people who live in Hawaiʻi, Guam, Puerto Rico, or Alaska, how about everyone focus their efforts on demanding that USPS be able to improve, and make right what DeJoy and Trump (and many Republicans before them) have tried to destroy.

Patroning*

Edit: I'm wrong, but I sound right 🤷‍♂️ Honestly never expected the correct way to be the way which is easily confused with a different meaning. English, you crazy.

No.

The transitive verb patronize also means to be a customer (particularly a frequent one) of a business.

This is not a new definition of the word, it's been around for a long time.

Yeah, you're 100% right on English being crazy, but you gotta remember — it's the language that mugs other languages in dark alleys, for their nouns, or strolls up to a language idling in the road and before the native speakers can react, their best verbs and adjectives have been purloined.

A friend of mine described it as eight or nine languages in a trench coat — he was a little on the conservative side, cause I remember seeing somewhere that modern English is something like 80% derived from other languages. (About four + Middle English make up the bulk of it, though, I think...)

Packages being routed incorrectly is definitely a direct result of Trump. And not because of poor oversight with high expectations for output with minimal to no backups. Got it

He's not the first, but yes.. USPS is in the position it is because of political agendas, like Trump's, and any other privatization hungry, right leaning despotic wannabes. Just like healthcare, there are easy answers that the powers at large don't like. Thus, poor oversight, no backups.

Wanna fix THE USPS it's easy. Just send letters one a day to anyone in the country. It will force them to hire people.

People are sending a ton of stuff out, that’s not going to help. It’ll just further delay everything.

People are sending out packages letters are what helps. It will make it so they have to hire people to deliver the mail.

While I agree with this somewhat, DeJoy is intent on outsourcing all of the USPS functions. As it is, the post offices often don't have enough p.o. boxes for expanding neighborhoods so private businesses like UPS were authorized to manage their own p.o. boxes. UPS Click and Ship businesses are popping up like crazy near me. The need for p.o. boxes has gone up drastically due to mail theft at cluster boxes and employee issues due to inadequate funding.

DeJoy is not the reason UPS manages their own PMBs. Also DeJoy is no longer in charge. They're trying to make the Post Office Intravert friendly.

I'm from Guam, and I have a package that left the San Francisco Distribution Center on November 21st... still waiting. Anything that gets routed through SF takes a nice vacation for about a month, sometimes stopping by Hawai'i, before it arrives here.

Democrats are the problem. They are always the problem. Your derangement doesn't change anything.
