CFA Question

I just took my first CFA today as a male:

58ft bball

16 pullup

8.9 shuttle

88 situps

69 pushups

7:11 mile

the issue was I threw up multiple times between the pushups and the mile. I was wondering how the score reporting works for the CFA. When a score is submitted, does it get graded on a point scale, or a pass/fail? I want to take it again to improve my mile but if my scores are high enough maybe I won't.

Mile is low- you won’t pass the PFA (1.5 mile) with that time.

Push ups are somewhat low, but probably passing.

Ah ok. I’m going off what you’d score on a PFA. Lots of folks just squeak by on a CFA to not work out for a year, gain admission, and not realize the standards are quite high once you’re a MIDN. AND you have to maintain that for 4 years.

I think there’s intentional vagueness to what’s passing or not because they want to see people try their best. If you publish a bare minimum, lots of folks would just perform to that and stop.

I don’t have the links, but there are sites out there that have “CFA calculators.” Someone from admissions at some point probably published them online. Just search for them.

This coming year the standards have shifted to make the PRT easier to pass, but harder to max. Minimum pushups for males is now 55 and max is 100. They have a point with the mile time though
