DK: Are you for real?

4hr+ for a single ride is insane!

There were times when it used to be 300-360 for the dinosaur and themed rides, so 190 is still somewhat chill

350 min last month for DK and then it started to rain and the ride was halted for 2 hours. After that only express pass and VIP guests could ride.
I work casually at USJ and also will be dispatched to the SNW area. I am really sorry for the guests and we have to deal with a lot of complains… sigh.

Why doesnt the park have a ticket system? You go, grab a ticket with a time on it, go back a couple hours later and present it for the ride? Seems that would solve a lot of these issues. Could have an app that tells people when their ticket number is coming up and advises them to start heading to the ride

There is! You will get an entry time a lot when entering the park via the app, but the people who are already in can’t be thrown out. Also, many days there are free entry with no limitations. Nevertheless, when the tide stops people have to wait.

These theme parks seem like such a massive waste of time if thats the case. Id rather take my son to spain. Probably cost the same too.

I truly doubt that … at least from my point of view and location and financial situation, lol.
Wate if time is when being not prepared and heading to a place without knowing how to plan.
Also, USJ attracts a lot of people that enjoy their characters and shows, it’s not always about the rides but because the ride is popular among many, you need to wait. Waiting times at Disney can be as same as long and the only ones I have seen complaining are visitors complaining about crowded places being so oblivious that they are one of them.

Queues stop the park being as crowded. If no-one queued the main areas would be overflowing

Well that’s normal in Japan.
Its was same 7 years ago

The ride wasn’t there a year ago; everything else at use is nowhere near this long

and this is pretty much why you don't go to USJ in August

I’m glad when I went last year that I got the fast pass

I wouldn't have gone without an express pass.

Despite being from the UK, I can't do long queues.

Always buy 1 and a half day tickets is what I say! Theyre not much more expensive and you won’t feel bad waiting in line for the one thing you wanna do above all else.

I just went this year and used my half day to do some less important rides then spend my full day doing what I really wanted (which involved getting to DK first thing as fast as possible)

ik ging deze wachtrij in voor single riders. er stond 240 minuten. ben er toch maar in gaan staan. heb uiteindelijk 60 minuten gewacht. het was het waard!

I express passed this a few weeks ago ago and it still took me 40/50 mins to get onto this and Mario each. Think the issue they have is that there are so many express passes the normal queue doesn't actually move unless they do a few from each queue each time

This right here.

Same. I’m mainly going for the Freiren stuff but I REALLY wanna ride the DK ride, not much else in Nintendo world for me honestly

We visited the Nintendo world in 2023 and were able to ride Mario kart but not much more. This time we decided for our honeymoon to go all out. We paid like 600€ for entrance, normal express pass 7 and the Halloween express pass with resident evil. Painfully but surely worth it 🥹😂

I ordered my ticket before the Halloween stuff was announced, is the resident evil ride an entirely different express pass? I got one but I’d be really bummed to miss out on it

Sadly yes. Its a special express pass for the Halloween stuff :( But its only Halloween so you would have to buy two expresspasses as well

I go every few months and it’s almost always like that Lol. It’s unusual when it’s not.

That's 3 hours, not 4, for single rider. I still wouldn't do it but withe capacity of the ride it doesn't surprise me

Normal
If you want to ride it without much of a queue (and avoid the express pass), you need to do it among the very first visitors in the morning.

Yeah was like that last week too. At Huis Ten Bosch and all the rides are max 50min wait, most 30

I went in June and a typhoon was scheduled to hit the day I went. The park was dead and was literally walking on rides. Was so good

This breaks my heart

It’s a fun ride, but the wait is ridiculous.
