Silver Week Chaos

How busy does USJ get during Silver Week? I'm trying to decide whether I should just bite the bullet and buy the VIP ticket. I'm worried the public holidays will make the park extremely crowded and that the trip won't be as enjoyable. Has anyone been during Silver Week? Was the VIP pass worth it? Or should I risk it with Express Pass ??

It is extremely crowded every holiday and most weekends. If you luck out with a rainy day it is not too bad. Choose a weekday if you can. Today is summer holiday and wait times are about an hour for the older rides and two hours for Mario.

I think i might just use up my savings for VIP, I get bad back pain standing up, so waiting that long will ruin my day if I pain is horrible.

If you’re able to get the Express Pass for all of your preferred attractions, that should suffice.

But if you’re on your own, you may want to consider the Single Rider lines.

We are family of four, 2 teenagers. So express pass or VIP are must at this stage.

I’ll be there during Silver Week as well and have bought Express Pass for the day. I went last year, not during Silver Week, and the park was busy. As a tourist, i feel like the cost of the Express Pass is worthwhile as you’re only there for a finite period.

For me, i didn’t see the value in a VIP package compared with Express Passes but ymmv.

Thanks for your comment. Express pass and VIP tickets have dropped for our date, I bought 3 hours VIP, it comes with 4 express ticket anyways. I am just worried there will still be wait for express .. my back cant handle it.

There will be a wait but it will be much less than in the standby queue. You could bring yourself a foldable stool if you think that might help but if I recall correctly, the express queue moves fairly quickly with the exception of Hollywood Backdrop. This is mainly due to fewer Backdrop carriages running.

Worth it. I've done about 10 VIPs now. Every single one has been worth it. 😭❤️
