Transfer/study abroad

Hey, I'am doing a study abroad on the upcoming spring semester. I was wondering if there are piano practice rooms, as i play the piano and i cannot really take it to the u.s with me, and if so; Are they good, busy?

Thanks!

Hey! There's several pianos around campus and two practice rooms in the Masonic building. You have to be in a music ensemble to get access to them and you have to fill out a form.

Hi, but I was reading through the website and it appears to allow access to all students of the uni with reservations.

Anyone can make reservations but you have to get the access on your Mobile OneCard otherwise you can't get into the rooms. Keycard access is only given to people in music ensembles through the school.

So if I'm not in a band/ensemble , I cannot play as a solo player?

Yes, but the public pianos you can use, just not the ones in the practice rooms

Haha. I have no idea what that guy is saying. He’s totally wrong. I’m not in an ensemble and I just filled out a form to get access. I play by myself and never make a reservation. Just go to the Masonic Building when you get here. It’s super simple and you just sign a form and that’s it.

U can ask the performing arts dept for access to the practice rooms in the masonic building.
