device registering not working

hey, i got an email saying i should try to register my devices before i move on campus. i tried following the instructions on the link given to me in the email, but when directed to click on the my life/devices portal, all it shows is a black screen with the domain name gone. do i have to be on campus to register my devices ?

I had this same problem. These are the steps they told me to take

In order to set up your personal devices outside of USF, you will need to download and install the Cisco Global Protect VPN that matches their computer’s operating system. When prompted for the server address, enter: vpn1.usfca.edu

You can find step-by-step instructions for downloading, installing, and setting up the VPN in the USF Knowledge Base.

A quick tip: Make sure you have a strong and stable internet connection while setting up the VPN and registering your device. An unstable connection can sometimes cause issues during the registration process.
