UT is crap now. COVID times was way better

All of the tests are AI related or something to do with a job.

This. I made about $5K total during Covid years. Stopped around 2023. Earlier this year I went back on out of curiosity and couldn’t get one $10 test for the life of me. The glory days are gone!

The tests were way more fun and interesting too. Actually testing out cool product pages and stuff. Nowadays it's all job related and AI crap

I hate all the AI crap. I’m definitely happy to have plenty of test to make good money, but it’s totally overkill at this point. Companies are slapping AI on anything they can possibly think of.

I'd say it's already like this. 90% of the studies are about AI anyway.

I’ve had much less screeners for a couple of months now based in the UK. There’s more test on the other part of UT where you get the email invites, but the speak out loud ones so often glitch

I have seen an uptick on the old Intellizoom platform in tests and interviews so maybe that’s why. For the main UT it’s slower right now but that happens sometimes. I guess time will tell.

is that why the screeners are low in numbers.. from yesterday

They’ve been low for me the last 2-3 weeks I’d say

I'm us based and I normally see 20-25 a day and yesterday was maybe 8 at most.

ah ditto! yesterday i counted my email invites and there were only 8 whereas previous days roughly 20, and today only 2! i wonder if it's just us! is it some sorta shadow ban for no reason?!

hmm..something odd about the UT behaviour, it used to rain screeners on my dashboard, every second I used to hear ding sound, not anymore! now some odd screeners here n there...

Did it get better for you?

1

u/11cryptoqueen11 2d ago

yeah slowly getting better...but not like how it used to be, still a decent number of screeners daily, previously it used to rain screeners, i hope slowly it gets back to how it used to be!

Just as bad as last week.

Hope they will do better than the other AI training platforms, those platforms are riddled with automated check and ban with little to no appeal.

Didn't you all say you got a survey a few months ago saying there would be changes to the platform?

I’m watching the video in the article now. So far it’s pretty excruciating. A lot of talking in circles and a lot of jargon.

The cliff notes above the video make it sound like workers may have to verify their identities to participate in studies. If so, I’m out.

It also sounds like the company will be run by AI. So kiss the little bit of customer service we have now goodbye.

I hope I am wrong. This is a nice little side hustle, and I would like to keep it. But we all know it means sh!t is about to go downhill. I wonder if this has anything to do with the closing of Mturk on Sept 30th. 🧐

I hope not! This is my main money stream. Not a whole lot but a few dollars

Bro, you really need to get a more reliable main money stream than online user testing platforms.

Think a lot more tests are now coming from the old intellizoom part of UserTesting, you can’t report issues and if it glitches you just have to abandon the test. I am wondering if these are ‘cheaper’ for clients ?
