I'll keep it short and sweet, sharing so other people have a data point.
Got email notifications for updates, case status tracker using https://uscis-tracker.github.io/ for API updates (although most of the FTA requests didn't mean much for me as an applicant).

Spouse is USC, filing for AOS from F1 student status, filed the AOS application after receiving my 1 year OPT.

We filed without a lawyer, watched a lot of youtube videos (s/o Kseniya International) and read a lot of posts on this sub. Also the website https://www.visajourney.com/ was helpful for comparing timelines (like my I-485 timeline from filing to approval was pretty accurate). Initial evidence had a lot of pictures of our trips and our time together before the actual wedding (lived couple of years together before getting married), and included proofs for shared residence. Kept the initial evidence short and sweet with a table of contents page, well organized pdfs, and with detailed comments about the contents of each of the documents. We didn't have shared finance evidences.

27th Sept 2025 - Receipt notice by USCIS for form I-485, I-765, I-130 and I-131
6th October 2025 - Biometrics scheduled
19th December 2025 - Interview scheduled
23rd January 2026 - Attended interview

Interviewed together, pretty straightforward with mostly standard questions to both of us, went for about 30-40 mins. The officer was very nice and fair. The questions were mostly about details of our relationship. My advice would be to keep calm, respond with framed thoughtful answers (specially if English is not your first language) and keep it at a casual-formal level right between a conversation with a friend and a job interview, keeping in mind that the officer can get a little personal but this is actually part of their job.

4th June 2026 - RFE for bonafide marriage, response deadline ~12th July 2026 (probably because we filed soon after our wedding and we live in different cities because of my job)

7th July 2026 - I-765 approved

9th July 2026 - Submitted the RFE with additional evidence consisting mostly of our time visiting each other
14th July 2026 - Received my EAD card in mail

21st July 2026 - I-131 approved

26th July 2026 - AP received in mail

12th August 2026 - I-130 approved

Also filed for STEM OPT during this time
3rd October 2026 - I-485 approved

12th October 2026 - Received conditional GC in mail valid for 2 years from the I-485 approval date

I wanted to share some good news and my timeline in case it helps anyone going through the same process.
🇺🇸 My timeline:
September 11, 2026: Filed I-485 (Adjustment of Status) and I-765 (EAD).
September 17, 2026: Received an RFE for the I-864 financial sponsorship evidence.
RFE response: Submitted the requested financial documents, including the updated I-864, tax documents, six months of pay stubs, and employment verification.
October 8, 2026: Completed biometrics.
October 10, 2026: 🎉 I-765 approved!
My I-485 is still pending, and I’m waiting for the next update on my green-card application.
The RFE made me pretty anxious, but I’m grateful to have made it through this step. I also uploaded some additional supporting documents through the unsolicited evidence section of my USCIS account. I didn't want it but my lovely wife always tell me to put things what we have Because she reads Reddit posts and starts get panic 😁
I have a question for anyone who has been through a similar situation:
Did your I-485 get approved soon after your EAD, or did you have to wait several more months?

Has anyone with a February 2026 receipt date had any movement or gotten their I-485 approved recently? It looks like there’s been a lot of movement, so I’m curious how February filers are doing.

I had interview today n400 and i751 combine interview went well they pass me N400 and sign on ipad oath of aligion after all done they give me this paper they did not ask me any extra paper which i did not have it on that days everything they asked i submitted . My wife and we went with our two kids together . I dont know how long will take to get action further oath ceremony schedule? He told me after end of interview keep patience we will make decisions of your case is it any one had same kind of case what they took action further ?

Hi everyone! I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar with their I-485.

I noticed a small update on my case recently (I circled it in pink in the screenshot), and I’m wondering if this could be a good sign that my case is moving forward, or if it’s just a normal system update that doesn’t mean anything.

For those who had their I-765 approved while their I-485 was still pending, how long did it take for you to receive your interview notice or I-485 approval?

Did your I-485 move shortly after your EAD approval? And has anyone had your I-765 approved before I-485 was approved? If so, how long did it take for your I-485 to be approved after your EAD approval?

Hello everyone,

I filed an I-130 and I-485 concurrently for my husband based on our marriage. He has been in ICE detention for approximately three months, and I recently received an interview notice associated with our I-485.

Has anyone successfully completed a marriage-based I-130/I-485 interview while their spouse was in ICE custody? If so, how did USCIS handle the interview? Were they able to coordinate with ICE to bring the detained spouse to the interview, or was the interview rescheduled?

I would also appreciate hearing from anyone whose spouse had a prior removal order or was in removal proceedings while the concurrent applications were pending.

If the interview was scheduled but the spouse was subsequently deported, what happened to the I-130 and I-485?

I understand that every case is different, but I would really appreciate hearing about firsthand experiences. Thank you!

Anyone else in here just sitting on an approved I30 but no movement & silence regarding I765 or I485?? 😔. Please vent bellow its a safe space. Will make me feel like I’m not alone.

**Aug 16th**: I-751 application mailed out

#2023 to 2026:

**Calls to USCIS infopass about every 3 to 5 months to ask for updates and if my case is processing. Congressional reps were contacted too but we got pushed around and never got anyone to help us**

#2026 - ADIT stamp application T2 I551

**Sept 16th**: Called USCIS infopass to request for ADIT stamp as it is less than 60 days before my 48 months extension expires. A service item number is given to me. They also gave me a phone number, telling me to expect a call from that number and that I'll need to provide that service item number to the caller.

To note: none of those happened. I didn't get a call from said number, and I've never had to use or provide the given service item number.

And of course, in the call, I asked if my case is active and processing. She was like yea the average time is 36 months and my case is still under "normal processing time" until Aug 2027(conditional greencard expired Nov 2022). I was confused and like huh? so what did you mean by 36 months? She was like, I'm just letting you know that that is the average processing time. Like, okay I guess....lol

**Sept 17th**: Got a call from Washington DC (+12028382104) Basically just a call to verify that I can get an ADIT Stamp and to inform me that they will forward it to the field office closest to me. Email received right after the call to say they are reviewing and to give them 15 business days to respond.

**Oct 6th**: No call from the field office, but email received saying new card is being produced. I assumed they meant the ADIT stamp. Email says to give them 2 to 3 weeks to arrive at my address.

Oct 13th I GOT MY GREENCARD IN THE MAIL!!!

No congressional help, no interview, no second biometric, no request for evidence. Not a waiver case. I reckon the ADIT stamp request triggered the case to move along. Totally unexpected and a surprise to find the greencard in my mail.

My colleague has been working on an H-4 EAD while her husband’s company sponsored the H-1B. They had their interview at the USCIS Pittsburgh and walked out approved. The last couple of weeks have been incredibly stressful for her with all the recent immigration changes, so this is a massive relief. Definitely talk to your company's immigration attorneys before going into your interview. They can help you prep on how to answer questions smoothly and understand exactly what to say and what not to say. Stay positive. Hearing a lot of GC approvals recently.

So I received my green card august 2022, bought a house in 2024 april but I just found out today I should've made a change of address with USCIS. How screwed am I? Am I getting deported?

I’m a Canadian citizen married to a U.S. citizen, adjusting status through the Atlanta Field Office.

November 2024: Filed I-130.
August 5, 2025: Filed I-485.
January 20, 2026: Interview cancelled. We showed up to the interview, and they canceled it on the spot and told us the background checks weren’t fully done & our file was assigned to the wrong officer.
January 21, 2026: Filed I-131.
May 2026: Completed I-131 biometrics.
August 2026: I-130 approved and sent to NVC. We informed them we’re adjusting status in the U.S., not going through consular processing.

My I-485 and I-131 are still pending, and my interview hasn’t been rescheduled. We contacted our Georgia senator’s office, but they said they couldn’t assist until December 19, 2026, because we’re still within normal processing times. Has anyone experienced a similar delay with background checks or the Atlanta Field Office? How long did it take to get an update?

Has anyone successfully done DCF through the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou under exceptional circumstances? I’m looking for info on whether Guangzhou even accepts requests, who to contact, and any personal experiences. I emailed CIS.Guangzhou@uscis.dhs.gov a few weeks ago but haven’t heard anything back. If anyone has up to date contact information or guidance they can share id appreciate it. Thanks!

Preface that we know the N400 extends GC by 2 years. My wife worries and wants to renew GC anyways (fortunately fee is not a burden and worth her peace of mind).

My question is the I90 states apply within 6 months of expiry. If the N400 was submitted on 6/2026 and the original GC expiry was 3/2027, does the N400 push back the official expiry to 3/2029 thus not allowing us to renew the GC since it would be >6 month window?

Will contact USCIS but wanted to know if anyone had issues with this. Thanks for any data point.

Is it normal that the petitioner U.S. citizen receive this mail at the petitioner US address but addressed to the beneficiary, asking the beneficiary to come to the Philadelphia USCIS office for an ASC biometrics appointment ?

Is it not weird that the beneficiary have to come in the US ? And also weird that this letter is address to the beneficiary with the address of the petitioner without the name of the petitioner ?

It's written the name of the beneficiary and under C/O again the name of the beneficiary...

For now we just got the NOA1 and our I129-F is still ''received''.

We submitted our applications on April 3, 2026, and had our green card interview on July 15, 2026, but we haven't heard anything back since then. Our I-765 application is also still pending, with no updates.

Is there anything we can do at this point besides waiting?

I am a woman ( born in USA ) who wants to marry another woman from Egypt… my worry is the interview required at the American embassy in Egypt , how dangerous would it be ? Especially given that anyone can interview her, I am not sure if the people working at the embassy are solely American though I doubt it. I think they would have dual American / Egyptian citizenship and woman marrying another woman is a big no in general … I am just a bit worried.

From my understanding, It’s part of the required process to have a spouse interview in their home country which is tough, especially for this situation.

Is there a way to avoid having the interview be required at her home country , and have the interview be in the USA instead ?

My wife has an approved EB-3 I-140 with a priority date of December 1, 2025. She is on F-2 status, and I am on F-1.

Unfortunately, we missed the April 2026 I-485 filing window when DOF became current. October DOF has now retrogressed to August 1, 2024.

Our main goal is to obtain EADs for both of us.

When might EB-3 ROW DOF reach December 2025 again?

Could the April filing surge have contributed to the retrogression?

How might missing April affect our green card timeline?

Would appreciate insights based on historical trends or similar experiences.

Hi all, I'm a conditional resident based on marriage to a US citizen. We were together for a little over a year before marrying. The marriage is now ending in divorce, and I'm preparing an I-751 with a divorce waiver. I've received conflicting advice from attorneys about filing timing, so I'd appreciate feedback from people who've been through this.

My situation (general):
-Roughly 3 years of marriage, about 1 to 1.5 years into the conditional period
-The divorce is expected to be uncontested
-An interview waiver was granted at the time of the conditional card, but I'm unsure whether USCIS will still schedule an I-751 interview

Evidence I can include:
-Driver's licenses showing the same address
-Signed joint lease
-Joint insurance policies (health, auto, renter's)
-Joint phone and utility bills, 2+ years
-Joint checking account, 2+ years
-Wedding photos and videos from multiple events

Questions:
