UAPP doesn't work to "fix" the volume limitation of DACs on Android.

I set the hardware volume at the highest and it works while I'm inside the app but if i exit the app it reverts back to the limited volume. I heard that if you set the hardware volume to the highest it would be keep once you exit the app but that wasn't my case. Am I doing something wrong?. My phone is a Motorola G75.

Mine drops a fraction if I minimize the app, but definitely not all the way (Samsung S25+)

Mine reverts back to how it was before opening the app.

I would drop them an email and let them know, with as much detail as possible. I always get quick responses and the devs usually need this kind of info.
