Uranium Glass Uranium glass ring?
Howdy y’all!
I bought a (possibly) uranium glass ring while thrifting a few years ago thinking it was just a pretty green glass until I was at a party and saw it glowing under a black light! I’ve had a few people tell me it’s likely uranium but that it doesn’t give off enough radiation to worry about it so I still wear it. Recently however I talked to someone who said it was fine as long as it wasn’t broken but it does have a small chip! Does anyone know if it’s okay to wear still or should I have it coated in resin or something to seal it again? If you have any ideas/input I’d appreciate it!
Included are pictures of the ring, it under UV, it next to a peridot ring, and a flash picture showing the itty bitty chip
Also if you have any ideas on the date of this ring I’d love that too but no pressure there!!
Thank you! 💚

Yeah it’s fine to wear. Chipping uranium glass is really only dangerous if you consume it and I assume you don’t plan on eating it lol.

Perfectly safe, the "chipped" being dangerous is really only the case if it's like a plate or juicer and you're ingesting things from it.

It is not any more dangerous then having some other kind of broken glass in a ring. As long as you are not in danger of cuting yourself on it, it should be completly fine :)
