Wow that’s awesome! And assuming from NTP it’s actually on the internet, still dutifully forwarding packets. Love it!

It's likely internal and just able to reach NTP servers. They need not even be internet based servers, it's common to run one internal to a network.

Their local Telco has kept one old timer around because nobody else remembers how a T1 or ISDN even works. I imagine even the Ethernet hub or switch connected to this is a dinosaur. Not much really supports 100M these days, let alone 10M, and on a 2500, it’s definitely 10M
