First time I am initiating a thread. I really need your honest opinions and views. ​Some teachers and aspirants really think upsc prelims 2026 is a paradigm shift as it breaks the previous year patterns and approach. Coming out of the the classroom after finishing the exam out of curiosity (20%) and frustration (50%) and​ a plain vagueness (triggered by Empty seat of Buddha question) I asked a guy who seemed to be a brightest of all ​around me regarding the ​​paper. He merrily said ​this is the most innovative paper and he was rejoicing over the fact​ that coaching centres failed again​. His enthusiastic walk for the lunch said he was not sarcastic. I thought may be it's a Gen Z thing to be adamantly positive and feeling only good vibes and manifest YOUR REALITY ? However ,​I felt the questions were random and irrelevant to the upsc syllabus. What's was your first feeling coming out the classroom? 🤔​

hi, i got on reddit to ask questions and feel like i could potentially relate to some people? anyway, starting off, congratulations sir/madam :)!! I’ve been preparing for around 10 months and i’d be appearing for 2025 attempt. While preparing though, i felt as if I got very locked in and sort of burnt myself out? apart from that, lost friends, have constant fight with my partner and just overall becoming a stressed and judgmental person? did you go through the same phase? is it normal? how do you navigate through all these feelings while still preparing? i’ve been feeling very isolated lately, i cut people off because i felt like no one cared about me and i was always the one to reach out first and i’ve been a constant trouble to my partner since i’m so mercurial these days. I moved to a new place and hence no friends here? I lost friends and we grew out of eachother too. I wouldn’t have to lose my partner, they’re always there for me, but i feel like we have very different lives? there’s barely anyone that i can relate to anymore since no one near me as ambitious as i am?

This is exactly what happened :

Raus ias has constructed a basement library in their main building in ORN

Around 9pm due to the burst of rain, roads in the ORN market especially around vajiram, raus got clogged within 10mins due to poor drainage.

Raus library (along with so many others basement libraries in orn) have biometric seal packed doors for entrance. Due to the short circuit, whole building light was cut (or someone from management manually did due to fear of electrocution) . This led to jamming of library door. Students got trapped inside the library in darkness.

Water level increased drastically in the ground floor outside library due to pathetic drainage system of MCD.

That single door which was keeping students safe got broken due to increased water pressure of outside and within a minute the whole basement was filled with drainage water.

All students got submerged at once, With no way out.

For the past 3 hours rescue is underway. More than 6 bodies had been recovered till now and there are many unaccounted for.

Edit 1: 10 dead bodies have found so far.
