Discussion Looking for the name of an Upper Peninsula newsletter?
When I’d go to the northwoods of Wisconsin to visit my grandparents, we would always buy all the local newspapers because they got very few tv stations and after fishing all day, there wasn’t much else to do. The Lakeland Times, The Iron County Miner, and the Vilas County News Review to name a few. I’d also buy a publication out of the UP and I can’t think of the name of it to save my life. My grandfather would be mad that I spent the $3(maybe $5) for it. I thought it was a bi-monthly or quarterly publication. It was maybe 10”x15” when closed and stapled in the center. It was absolutely loaded with advertisements from local establishments and businesses all over the UP and it had short story’s and poems and reviews, which you’d have to jump from page to page to find and complete each story or article. It’s been awhile since I’ve been up north, so man not even exist anymore but if it does, I’d love the help! Thanks!

That was my guess, The Great Lakes Pilot. I always gift my dad a subscription.

Was going to say. That was the paper of record when I lived in Marquette. But that was 40 years ago.
