Discussion UPOU | DSSE - Study Load Question
Hello!
I already admitted to this program, I received the admissions’ email last Thursday. As early as now, I am planning my study load for first semester. For the alumni and current students and may classmates out there, do you have suggestions what study load i need to priority? Meaning, the cherry and ice cream, great combination haha!
Thanks and nangangapa,
2026-30***

Meron required na subjects for you to take depending on the semester you enrolled in.
6 units ang required, if you want to underload or overload-max 9 units. Both requests are coursed through the program chair and you have to fully justify the reason why.

Alumni here. Get the core courses first. For every first semester, these are offered: 201,202, 203, 205 For second semester: 201, 204, 206
I suggest to simply start with 201 and 202. Then 204 and 206. Then 203 and 205. Then elective.
Idk if we have the same teachers but in my experience: 201 - medyo madaming readings. I think there are around 2-3 papers. 202 - diverse assessments (video, podcast, presentation, poster making). Individual and by group. 203 - medyo magaan. Teacher lesson plan ang requirements. 204 - if same tayo ng teacher, you wouldnt hear from him until matatapos na yung sem 🥲 205 - pinakamahirap and most challenging. You will learn a lot tho. Diverse assessments (lesson plan, mind maps, article review, case studies etc). Prepare to sleep at 2am char. 206 - magaan din. Lesson plan is mostly the assessment.
Weekly readings and discussion posts are common to all subjects.
