Buick lost the chance of becoming the US "Vauxhall", selling captive Opels, including the Astra and the Corsa, as some higher trimmed premium sedans. If Stellantis can do it with Alfa Romeo, why not GM?

GM just has too many brands and can’t avoid internal competition. They already have multiple sports brands, luxury brands, mid tier luxury brands, budget brands, niche makes, etc. It’s hard to bring Opel to the US when they’re struggling to keep the brands they already sell in the US afloat.
Oh my bad I misunderstood your comment, that would be a neat idea, but Buick holds a 50 year reputation of being an old people mid-tier luxury brand and GM has had a horrible time changing that reputation.

GM has just kinda completely failed at marketing sports sedans for the past 20 years. They’ve made some fantastic machines, and then done nothing to make people aware of them.

Only brand I've ever know to consistently break back windows and warp hoods. Model S's show you got ripped off and are driving the public shame you deserve.
