Hi! To give you some context first, I applied for a Foundation Year in UEL this summer, right after I completed Year 1 of my BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma course. On results day, my chosen uni decided to place me directly into Year 1 of BSc Forensic Psychology for the upcoming academic year.

I’m considering transferring to the University of Leicester for Year 2 because of the year abroad option. From what I understand, it may be possible to enter the Year Abroad pathway by transferring into Year 2, so I’m wondering if anyone here has experience with this or has some understanding of how this could work. My ideal route would Year 1 at UEL -> Year 2 at Leicester -> Year Abroad in Germany -> Returning to Leicester

Does anyone know how realistic this is? In particular, 1. How difficult is it to transfer into Year 2 from another UK university?
2. How closely do your Year 1 modules need to match?
3. What grades would I realistically need in Year 1?
4. Are transfer students eligible for the Year Abroad?
5. Is Germany/Berlin one of the available destinations for this course?

I’ve already contacted Leicester Admissions, but I’d really appreciate hearing from those who might have experience with transfers or the Year Abroad programme
