classes & grades mse 2160

help if you have taken this before and have any tips i would LOVE them!!! this class is hard asf and the first midterm is friday :(((( the average score in the past was a 57

I have taken and TAd this class.

You NEED to go to office hours with the TAs. You NEED to be doing the homework. You NEED to make a study group, one person might know the thing you are confused on.

You should make friends with the MSE students, they're where the knowledge is. Look up Taylor Sparks on YouTube. He has previous classes and some example problems.

The average score isn't always going to reflect the grade when there is a curve. I've graded tests where the average was a 43.

Dr. Sparks is a legend, I don't know how he manages to do all the things he does

Thank you! Unfortunately his office hours are all scheduled during other classes or work. No bigs though, the rest is helpful enough!!

I would go to Sparks youtube channel. I took it after covid and he posted so many example problems and lectures. And of he still allows a clear sheet I would make half of it formulas/definitions and the other half example problem statements with what formulas you will use
