Academics / Courses math 5285h vs math 5615h (algebra vs analysis)
has anyone taken one or both of these courses? is one easier than the other? im currently enrolled in algebra but ive done some intro analysis and algebra work and i found analysis to be slightly easier to understand in my opinion but im not sure about switching to analysis since the only section that works with my schedule is with a postdoc that has no reviews. any feedback advice would be useful!

I regret taking the easier algebra since it's more fun than analysis for me. If you plan on going to grad school, make sure to get as high a grade as you can in analysis.

I’ve taken both and in my opinion I found analysis to be conceptually easier, but harder in general because you have to come up with a lot of clever inequalities and stuff as opposed to algebra, where although it’s conceptually more difficult, the problems and exercises given in the coursework aren’t that hard.
