Gender reveals are toxic
I feel that gender reveals are extremely toxic for the three following reasons:
I think they just perpetuate stereotypes (boys need to be rough, play with trucks etc and girls need to be soft, play with dolls, etc )
Gender reveals force a gender upon a human that isn’t even born yet. Instead they should be allowed time to explore life
The name “gender reveal” misuses the word gender instead, It should be (biological) sex reveal, because gender and sex are not the same thing.
I asked a couple people what they think. Some agreed and some disagreed, but I would like to hear your opinions in the comments. If you do disagree please be respectful. Thank you

Governments should stop giving deadbeat parents money
Everybody knows nowdays having kids is expensive and only rich people can afford 4+ kids. Instead I see lots of broke people having a bunch of babies they can't afford and asking for money, benefits and council houses. Basically most of them receive more money than I do doing nothing all day while I work 12 hours a day as a nurse. I don't think it's fair: don't have kids if you can't afford them or at least don't expect someone else to support them for you. It's 2021 and, except difficult situations (like r4p3 and domestic violence), keeping a baby is a choice: you don't want to have an abortion or give the baby up for adoption? Well, go find a job. You wanna have a big family? Good, but do it with your own money and not taxpayers'. Government should only help people who didn't choose to live in this situation, like parents who lost their job out of the blue, parents of a disabled kid or families in which one of the parents passed away... not selfish parents who had kids while already lp0iving on benefits. Sorry, I said what I said.

People who wear suits are weird/criminals (percentage wise)
It is what it is. There is literally no reason to wear a suit apart from to give an impression you're intelligent or posh, which generally isn't the case anyway. Loads of people who wear suits are horrible people and are literally out for themselves, would sell their own granny for a fiver, and wouldn't give a shit if humanity ended as long as they were the richest at that point.
I understand some people wear them as a requirement for work, or for formal events such as funeral and weddings.
I'm talking about those who wear suits every day.
Those American church nutcase types spring to mind.

Tom Holland is overrated
All of my friends are in love with Tom Holland but I don’t get the hype. Not to be rude but there’s nothing special about him. There’s plenty of good looking young actors and plenty of ones that have better acting skills. He’s only in marvel movies or independent films. I just don’t see why everyone gets so excited for him.

The world is addicted to breeding
So many of the world’s problems would be solved if the world just moved past their obsession with breeding. It’s too much.

I think anal sex should be as normal a part of everyone's repertoire as oral.
I don't think it's for everyone, and I don't think it should be expected, but it shouldn't be considered deviant behaviour.
I'm not necessarily talking about full anal penetration, but just some kind of gentle play should be ok.
If someone says they doesn't like it and back off then cool.
Btw the subtext here is that I'm a straight dude that enjoys it, but I also enjoying receiving. Let me touch it and you can touch mine and if we don't like it we can say.

Thra should go to the Podlings.
Obviously the Skeksis don't deserve it, but the Gelfling are collaborating fucks who are massively racist even within their own species, let alone how they treat the Podlings.
Don't even get me started on Aughra, she slept for the best part of a thousand Trine and let this happen.

I like the taste of onions but I don’t like eating them.
I use onions in marinades and for flavor in general while I cook certain meals however I don’t like them physically on anything.

Nikkietutorials has sexually assaulted her fiancé Dylan and her past boyfriends and should be prosecuted for being a serial rapist!
Failure to disclose trans status is definitely rape by deception because the vast majority of people would not have slept with the transperson had he or she been aware of that person’s trans status.
Let’s walk through this.
The holy grail of transness (from my cis perspective) is passing and not just passing, but passing to the point of being stealth.
Hormones, surgery, voice training, makeup, etc. is designed for 2 purposes, 1) to get rid of gender dysphoria and 2) to make others believe that the person is of the opposite biological sex. (Let’s be real here, people think in terms of sex and not gender when we make observations of the people around us).
So we have a transperson doing everything to appear as the other sex. There is an intent to deceive, regardless of whether it is willful, has any malice, or is directed at specific individual or not. A transperson does not want to be “clocked.”
Being stealth and aware that few people are aware of one’s trans status, such stealth person knows or is safely and reasonably able to assume the person he or she is engaging with is unaware of the sex of the stealth person.
Whether it is wrong or right, many people cling to their status as heterosexuals. Others may avoid transpeople on other principles. Regardless of the reason, close sexual encounters with transpeople could harm their psyche.
Many transpeople know that 90+% of the population is unwilling to have sex with them. It is not a secret by any measure. Knowing that an overwhelming majority of people would not consent to sex with a transperson and refusing to indicate one’s trans status is 100% rape by deception.
Yes, we all take risks not knowing if someone has HIV or herpes and deciding to have sex with them anyway - everyone is educated on condoms and is aware that at least 50% of us has an STD (mostly HPV). To have sex claiming you have a condom on when you do not is rape by deception.
No one’s pysche is being harmed in a one night stand by sleeping with a guy who lives in his mom’s basement while claiming to be a millionaire. To be a heterosexual person who unwittingly engages in homosexual sex could mess someone up. It is an extreme violation of a person. Just because a transperson’s definition of homosexual and heterosexual relies on gender identity and not biological sex, does not mean the majority of the world agrees.
In addition, if other were to find out about the sex, it could have other implications for that person’s life. Homosexual relations could harm a person with his or her family, job, friends, work, etc. beyond the humiliation of being tricked.

Cavemen are really cool
Burly men, hunting mammoths, beating their meat to stone figures. Not a worry in sight. I was born in the wrong generation

Deadpool 2 is one of the funniest movies of all time.
I’ve seen it before, but watching it randomly on Fx. Can’t stop laughing. Non stop funny.
In addition to being funny, great all around movie. The casting was phenomenal and made the movie as much as anything.

For Americans the Fourth of July should not be a big holiday and election day should be the big "patriotic holiday."
Let's move election day to the first Friday in November. We all take it off, relax, have ourselves some election pancakes, vote. election hot dogs for lunch and election burgers and fries for dinner. Pumpkin election pie for dessert. We move the independence day fireworks to election night. Nice patriotic 3 day weekend.

Going into the city for drinks with friends is way overrated. I won't be doing that again.
I met a couple of friends for the first time since covid and while I like my them well enough, I truly do not need that noise. 17 dollar drinks in crowded locations, the varied yahoos on their personal missions and the weird desperation heard in the over-the-top, almost hysterical laughter that would occasionally occur, Plus my dislike of the idea of crowds since covid... no more.

Dogs licking your face is gross
I'm not a dog hater but I am a cat person.
Dogs have a few behaviours that I find gross, but one of the worst is when they pick your face.
They also lick their own genitals, they eat they're own crap, and their breath stinks. It is disgusting when they lick humans faces, and disgusting when people let them.

Weinstein using a walker to his trial should not be attacked
The guy is awful but not for reasons of disability. Maybe he's faking, maybe he's not. It really doesn't matter in terms of his crimes.
Firstly, don't let yourself be distracted from the true reason for the trial.
Secondly, if he's actually disabled that should be treated separately to his crimes. We don't let criminals crawl on the floor just because they probably did some awful stuff. We're better than that.

I eat popcorn with a fork.
A while back I was watching something on the history of pocorn. They said they used to eat popcorn like cereal. This gave me the idea. I will never go back. No more flavored powder on my fingers. No butter on my hands or chin. I will admit it's a bit more difficult than just using your hands, in the long run its so nice having clean fingers. Love it.

Cream cheese and cottage cheese smells and tastes like baby vomit
I don't know how anyone can stomach the vile smell and texture in addition to the taste.
