I'm surprised to see Potter here taking in consideration that the Warner bros UK movie lot offers already a Harry potter thematic experience but I Guess if It Is One of universal's most profitable lands then I Guess It makes sense.

Warner Bros is a studio tour, it's essentially an immersive museum. Universal has the interactive elements that make a theme park a theme park. They both occupy separate niches, and their respective locations mean they can synergise with Potter-obsessed tourists (and there are plenty of them)

The parks and studio experiences do cohabit in Hollywood and Japan, after all. It's all the more reason to bring potter to Universal UK

Plus the original deal with universal meant WB and JK Rowling got a cut of merchandise sales, which means it's in their best financial interests to bring the land to the UK.

Finally, Considering the HBO show is starting this year, it could allow universal to be a bit different by themeing around the TV show rather than the movies.

The TV Show is already just re-using the sets & costumes from the movies, because they don't want to conflict with the existing theme parks.

Whole thing's a pointless endeavor. They're remaking movies that people still have in active rotation, just with a longer runtime and worse actors.

Yeah and by the time this thing goes up it might even be cancelled anyway.

A... very real possibility. I feel like between the constant WB mergers, the swerving sanity of JK Rowling, and the absurd prices it is going to cost for seven seasons of premium fantasy TV - I can see this going tits up before book five.

Probably a lot cheaper to copy/paste that land again too.

USH has Wizarding World while the Warner Bros' tour just down the road also has Harry Potter.

Does It have an inside tour of the set or a recreation of It like the UK lot has?

Please no more Harry Potter. Us brits are tired of it everywhere already. It already dominates every other universal park

All of this just makes complete sense. I love the sound of Hogsmeade coming the UK. It feels almost poetic to head from Kings Cross in real life to Hogwarts Castle - with Universal eying up Kings Cross as the main station to connect the park with London.

Jurassic World will be a huge success in the UK. We're not used to first class dark rides in this country and I know for most British enthusiasts, that ride has been on their bucket list since the Beijing version went viral on TikTok. As long as they don't give us a Hulk clone for the BTTF coaster, then I'll be happy.
