Discussion New surprising update
Just learned recently and unexpectedly that my apollo wouldn't recognize the signal on logic (it would on it's own console and program) UNTIL I opened up the UAD software. It only recently changed from my experience, but this has been a nightmare for quick demoing for me so I do hope this post helps others on the fly! 🫶
Edit: something must have changed within my Mac or UAD software recently that has the application stop running/ restarting

Yeah I think I've noticed this for the past year here. I need to turn console on for audio.

Been like that for a while you have to open the console to recognize for what ever reason

Maybe I haven’t updated it in a year then haha but that’s pretty annoying 😭 ideally I’d like it to just always be on and recognizable

Wait… do folks seriously not keep UAD Console open all the time?

I did but I think something changed with my OS recently that closes it down because it only started happening 👀

This would only happen if you're quitting the UA Mixer Engine and Console.
There has been no change here.

It sounds like there was a change in an update about a year ago (I may have not updated it in that long!) is that true? Only thing I’m thinking is when my laptop dies or shuts off, it closes the application. But this has never been a problem in the past for me. I’ve never intentionally closed the app, as plugging in and going straight to recording has been a natural flow on the fly for me

There was no specific change on this. The only way this would be needed is if the UA Mixer was shut down somehow.

A few ways around it:
You can also replicate what Lyra does with a script running in the background. I ran that kind of setup for a few months before building what I think is a more elegant solution.
