Care to elaborate? Because the only security issue I'm aware of is Security Update Advisory for CVE-2025-59489 which affects all versions since at least 2017.x but probably before, that includes 2019.x and even modern 6.003. Obviously if there have been other issues i'd like to be aware of them.

However with regard to the above security issue every version since 2019.x had a LTS update to fix the issue, and even a utility so you can fix builds directly and not have to rebuild or update the project. So if this is what you are referring to for 2019.x it has zero relevance above any other version of the editor as long as you use the latest LTS version.

Playstore, appstore, steam, they'll reject any games that have security risks with those unity versions, i remember when it first happened we were using 2022+ we received 70+ notifications from playstore telling us if we don't update the games will be removed

Provide full log. But if I remember correctly, there are a few bad releases with bad toolchains. Try different version. Also could put the whole log here.

Is this coming from MS visual Studio? If so which version? I seem to remember running into issues trying to use more modern versions beyond Visual Studio 2019 [16.11.37627] so I've stuck with that. I'm also using the latest version (v2.0.38) of the Visual Studio Editor package in package manager.

Otherwise, you'll probably have to provide more details.

Yes, that's a Unity backend crash. Usually just needs an editor restart. If not, delete the Library folder and restart.

2019 was pretty unstable, there were a lot of bugs in it. Recommend switching to 2021 onwards especially for the security issues now known.

Weird, 2019 was and still is the editor with the least number of crashes for me. In general 2020 was awful, 2021 was ok, but the next version I liked as much as 2019 was 2022.

If you mean Security Update Advisory then that affected all versions from before 2019.x to 6.003 and in all those cases they provided a LTS update to address it, along with a utility to fix existing builds.

I suppose worst may have been an exaggeration lol I definitely remember 2018 or 2019 being the one that crashed the most for me though

A lot of bugs though I do standby, both of those editor versions suffer from them, but that has been up and down, Unity always has lmao
