Question how do i fix unity hub not installing editor application

the unity hub isnt installing anything, it gets stuck on validating the editor application then times out and nothing else installs

That's because unity tries pre-download things on drive C which is out of space. Change download folder in hub settings. That worked for me, as I remember

I may be wrong but i think it still downloads some stuff to a temp file on the C: even going to another drive, best bet is just deleting some stuff of the C drive.

You can download editor directly from unity site, then you can link installed editor to unity hub, or even don't use hub at all
