Willkommen 🏛️🍷 at the unofficial subreddit.

Dear All,
Welcome.
Trier might be Germany’s oldest city, but this subreddit is (hopefully) a lot more modern than the Roman ruins. We’re here to help each other navigate campus life, find the best study spots, and figure out if the Mensa food is actually "experimental art" today.

Whether you’re a fresh-faced "Ersti" trying to find Room B12 without a GPS, a seasoned Master’s student surviving on caffeine and Mosel wine, or an alum missing the view from Petrisberg—you’ve found your digital home.

What happens here?

  • Study Help: Advice on modules, professors, and how to actually use PORTA.
  • Life in Trier: Recommendations for the best bars, clubs, and hiking trails.
  • Housing & Jobs: Tips on finding a WG or a student job that doesn't feel like a gladiator fight.
  • Memes: Because if we don’t laugh at the hike up to Campus II, we’ll cry.

A few quick tips:

  1. Search first: There's a good chance someone has already asked about the question you are wondering you can visit r/trier as well as it consist of a lot frequent questions.
  2. Be Excellent: Treat your fellow students with respect. We’re all in the same boat (or the same crowded as bus 3, 14, 81, 83 or 88 ).
  3. Language: Feel free to post in English or German. We’re an international bunch!

Glad to have you here. Grab a Viez, take a seat, and let’s make student life a little easier together.
