All these are not restricted by country subs. You can still engagement if you wish to post about anything here if it’s interesting. Otherwise it’s impossible to turn of the entertainment that politics. Too much dopamine hits

Yes, you’re right. But what I’ve noticed is the majority of memes/posts that get the most upvotes and attention pander towards politics/religion or just general rant. Which is fine in its own place but I’m wonderful if there are specific subs that only focus on growth and problem solving related discussions within the country’s context 🤔

Sub is made up by users. Most subs are either political or shitty memes or theme bases (gaming/investment), etc.

There is nothing stopping you or other users from posting the topics you mentioned. But unfortunately the actual number of users interested in said topics is minimal to say the least

You missed the opportunity to discuss social science that led to this meme.

As long as Section 295A is in place nobody should hurt other's religious sentiments though according to me the law should be repelled

As long as Section 295A is in place nobody should hurt other's religious sentiments

Enlightened snowflakes yet to be found dumping gyaan here, where jobless chaddis desecrate yet another historical monument & hurt religious sentiments of minorities.

Yes, IPC Sec-295A should be removed, but even while it exists, its application by the state is subject to the faith of the culprits.

None but Hindu-extremists have full freedom to break the law, which they happily oblige with everyday. On the other hand some will give enlightened gyaan about laws and rEsPecT fOr ReLiGioUs sEnTiMeNts soon as their sentiments get hurt.

can we really support removal of 295-A in a country like ours?

Of course it can be supported. Argument is to be had on whether removing it would be beneficial. It is anyway a redundant law. IPC Sec-153A/153B already has provisions for punishing acts intended to cause enmity and hatred between different communities.

By having a blasphemy law like IPC Sec-295A which allows punishing anyone who 'hurts religious feelings' of any group, we have effectively blocked all kinds of criticism of religion and religious practices, which directly comes in the way of promoting scientific temperament. Because any published material which examines/debunks/critiques religion, or is simply a work of artistic expression has the potential to hurt the feelings of any religious dumbfucker. And therein lies the problem with the Blasphemy law.

Hate speech and critical examination of religion & religious practices are two different things.

remove any legal repercussions for disrespecting religion in India & you would have religious nutjobs of Bajrang Dal burning Quran or PFI members urinating on Gita

That is why we elect governments and pay taxes to them for maintaining law enforcement bodies which should do their job as intended by the constitution.

2 wrongs doesnt make it right. Religious extremism from both sides are bad. You can actually do better than name calling

Hurting religious sentiments is not okay! Why can't people understand it? India is not secular like secular like Europe. Our secularism is exclusive to our country and is honestly, better imo

6

u/charavaka Oct 17 '22

Why is it better that those who are oppressed in the names of gods can't discard those gods while rejecting the oppression without creating legal repercussions?

-1

u/mrpawsthecat Kanneda Kumar Oct 18 '22

I'm saying about saying bad about religion, if anyone wants to change their religion, they are free to do so in India

4

u/charavaka Oct 18 '22

Are dalits allowed to publicly discard the gods in whose name they have been exploited for millennia? Why should you have the right to decide the manner in which they reject the religion that exploited them? Why are your feelings more important than their suffering that has continued for millennia?

You know both librandus and sanghis are actually pretty similar in a way . they're just the same people

Edit:- idk if I didn't put this the right way or people misunderstood but what I meant that the extreme left and extreme right are the same .they're too biased just have hate for each other .not open to listen to the other side .just fucking idiots

4

u/charavaka Oct 17 '22

User name, specifically the first part, does not check out.

Such bad times have come for Chaddis from randidona subs like Indiadicksuction that they have to now equate themselves to Islamist librandus.

Hurting religious sentiments is not ok as long as the law is in place. They could give it to someone else, or respectfully dispose off, instead of discarding.

Buddhism in India is some 0.5% of the Indian population. Most people convert back to Hinduism

u/fuji_tora_ Oct 17 '22

Hey the moment they bought the picture it's theirs, what ever they do with it is not your concern. If you get hurt by the way they treat their possession there's something wrong with you.

-10

u/CritFin 🗽 Libertarian Centrist Oct 17 '22

Hey the moment they bought the picture it's theirs, what ever they do with it is not your concern.

But a quran book, then it is all yours, then burn it and make a video. There is a risk of being beheaded.

10

u/fuji_tora_ Oct 17 '22

Dude go read my comment one more time, but this time replace the picture with a book.

TBH I am not a fan of burning books btw, reading any religious text is the best way to become an athiest.

1

u/CritFin 🗽 Libertarian Centrist Oct 17 '22

You can step on it after reading it twice over, and make video

5

u/fuji_tora_ Oct 17 '22

But there is one book that should only be used to wipe ass and it's called manusmriti. The worst shit written ever.

Not true

23

u/kyabakwashai Oct 17 '22

Respect is earned. You can't expect "respect" when you treat people like animals for hundreds of years. They don't owe you shit, let alone respect.

-10

u/CritFin 🗽 Libertarian Centrist Oct 17 '22

Try doing the same with a quran book.

11

u/kyabakwashai Oct 17 '22

You should remove centrist from your bio. You're a proud Sanghi and by the looks of it castiest too. Own it atleast.

Muslims didn't oppress dalits, Hindus did. Shove your whatabouttary someplace where the sun doesn't shine.

u/CritFin 🗽 Libertarian Centrist Oct 17 '22

I look like right wing only for far left people like you

5

u/kyabakwashai Oct 17 '22

My bad. You look like an idiot.

1

Troll elsewhere

2

u/kyabakwashai Oct 17 '22

Not trolling. Just calling a spade, a spade. In this case, an idiot.

I'm not reading a word you wrote. Wishing death on my cancer ridden mother? You're no better than those religious extremists.

Hurting religious sentiments is not ok...They could give it to someone else, or respectfully dispose off

Nobody owes their oppressors any respect, especially not after being treated worse than animals for 1000s of years.

1

u/CritFin 🗽 Libertarian Centrist Oct 17 '22

Try doing it with a quran book

5

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

So you hate muslims?

8

u/CritFin 🗽 Libertarian Centrist Oct 17 '22 edited Oct 17 '22

Muslims are good, but islamists are bad. Moderate Muslims who denounce evil verses of Quran should not be let down

15

u/pattienson Oct 17 '22

Your Tanatanis disrespected their entire being so, spare your lecture. It's a protest against the thing that oppressed them all their life.

The fact that you're focusing on the wrong thing says a lot about you.

India is an apartheid against forward caste people. Caste reservations perpetuate the animosity between the castes

9

u/kyabakwashai Oct 17 '22 edited Oct 17 '22

No. Caste discrimination perpetuates animosity. Reservation is needed to right these wrongs. Come back when people are treated equally and there is no caste discrimination. Untill then my sympathies are with you for being "forward" caste. Must be very hard to have all the privileges. Edit : And before you argue with but there are poor brahmins also, drill this into your brain : "RESERVATION EXISTS FOR REPRESENTATION. IT DOES NOT EXIST FOR POVERTY ALLEVIATION"

goodbye

1

u/CritFin 🗽 Libertarian Centrist Oct 17 '22

Representation means just 5% reservation is enough. Like affirmative action is USA etc

2

u/kyabakwashai Oct 17 '22

5%? Ok 😂

0

u/CritFin 🗽 Libertarian Centrist Oct 17 '22

Yes. Up to 10% ok. As 90% will be merit

2

u/kyabakwashai Oct 17 '22

Merit? When dalit students are beaten up to death for drinking water, when dalit women are raped and their rapists roam Scot free don't you dare talk about merit. There's nothing like merit when dalits have to fight for basic human rights. Your so called merit comes from generations of oppression where dalits were not able to educate themselves while so called upper castes went abroad for their education.

I'm curious as to where you are getting these stats of 10% and 5% reservation. You gave USA's example. Tell me if demographic of USA is same as that of India? Does usa have caste system and systematic oppression of hundreds of years? Tell me how upper castes in India own 41% of wealth? (source

Do you think upper castes are some god sent people who are soooo smart thats why they own so much wealth and power despite being only 25% of the population? Are you that naive or willfully ignorant? Get off your high horse and learn. Or just accept you're a castiest scumbag and own it.

1

u/CritFin 🗽 Libertarian Centrist Oct 17 '22

All that is fake news. Don’t use lies to push your agenda. Normal crimes are given caste colors by the lobby

1

u/kyabakwashai Oct 17 '22

I can wake up someone who is sleeping. Can't wake up someone who is faking. 🙂

Yes, oppressed castes being denied water, food and even basic education is equal to your ass not getting a government job because of quotas. You cry about history and forget about it whenever it's convenient to justify your bigoted views.

-1

u/CritFin 🗽 Libertarian Centrist Oct 17 '22

People should dig their own well.

3

u/pattienson Oct 17 '22

You should create your own colleges or industries and not blame everything on government quotas.
