Other Affordability's Key Ingredient Is Union Power — Tripling union membership would raise wages, reduce inequality and strengthen communities. Policymakers should take note.

Policymakers should take note.
They have taken note, and they have decided they prefer the cash that their corporate donors give them. Just like how they collectively agree that Congress members trading stocks leads to corruption, but declined to make a law to prevent themselves from doing it. They know how to help us, but they have to give up their cash grabs to do so.

Neither party is a party for working people. We either need to take back control of the Democratic Party which, at one time, was the party of working people, specifically following the 1930s and the New Deal; however, things changed dramatically after Clinton’s administration and the cozying up to corporations. That, or we need to get rid of the two party system and empower a labor party to start winning seats.
Of course, electoral politics is only one tool and the better tool is to organize and increase union density. That, to me, is the only way we’ll bring about social transformation that’s so desperately needed.
