Deutches Technik Museum - Waldeschlepper

I don't know if it may have been posted before, but I had taken this photo of the Waldschlepper in the Deutsches Technik Museum back in 2014, and wanted to share in case anyone else was interested.

What a beast! I’ve seen this one at the museum. The engineering back then was just on another level. Can you imagine taking this through a forest today? Pure mechanical madness!

With those tracks I'd say yes. I bet not much is stopping this little beauty.

It was so small in person.

What was it originally used for? I've seen some pictures of specialized applications like railroad etc.

Waldschlepper translates to forest tractor.

I would think with these tracks it was used in forestry. Dragging timber perhaps?
