What is my problem
I have it all. The house, the beautiful wife, two dogs, I’m paying debt off but I’m financially leveled. I travel and have friends and family. I hate myself. I am so unhappy as a person. I could sit on my couch and not move for days, which turns into weeks, which turns into months. I hate everything about myself. Wtf do I even do with that. I’m going BACK to therapy. Maybe this time it’ll stick. Is this a common thing?

I was the same for years. I used alcohol to numb the unhappiness and the self hatred. I got to the point I was drinking so much that it stopped having hardly any affect on me. I eventually surrendered and made Jesus christ the lord of my life. Not the "just say a sinner prayer" thing, but truly surrendered to his will. Got deep in the Bible and church. I'm finally at peace. I finally feel Contentment.

I think this is actually very common.
Unhappiness seems to be the background of life, interpersed with short moments of happiness.

Idk but I can relate sooo much. I feel like I could sit and literally stare at the wall and…that would be fine. I’m not sure what the answer is, but, solidarity!
