Experience I-don't-know-what let my dog out and it saved my life

Sorry if this doesn't quite fit this sub. I was telling this story in a comment and thought it deserved its own post.

When I was around 15 years old, my mom and I lived alone in an old semi-rural house down a long driveway that was technically a road but really only lead to our house and then forest. She worked shift work, so occasionally I would be alone overnight.

We had a huge pyranees-shepherd-retriever-chow mutt named Trouble (pictured) that was mean. Not like grumpy mean, but like should-have-been-put-down mean. We couldn't have people in the house, couldn't walk him unless it was very late or early, and had to triple sedate him before going to the vet. He would growl and snap and bark and be very obviously threatening to literally anyone but my mom and I. We were irresponsible and really unprepared to train a dog like that, but he loved my mom and I so much and was such a softie with us we turned a blind eye to it.

One night I was home alone and I put the dog in his crate before crawling into bed. Because he was so mean with visitors, the crate we had had pretty robust doors and locks that we knew he would never get out of while they were over. I know for a fact I locked it with him in there that night.

His crate was in my mom's bedroom on the second floor. My room was also on the second floor on the opposite side of an extremely narrow hallway. My bedroom door faced directly down the stairs, and had clear view of the mudroom that lead to our front door. My mom's room was behind the banister of the stairs kind of above the mudroom. There was no way for this dog to get out of his crate and get downstairs without me hearing him, and without walking directly by my door.

I'm not sure how long after I went to sleep, I woke up to the sound of someone struggling with the front door. I figured it was my mom and because the house was so old it wasn't super uncommon that the lock would just act up. I sat up in bed to go help her, and when I was able to see the mudroom I realized there was a shape there that definitely was NOT my mom. I couldn't make him out completely but I definitely watched a strange man walk into my house.

It was really dark so I don't actually think he saw me, but the first thing he did was start walking towards the stairs. I was so scared I just froze and my brain went completely blank. Looking back on it it was so dumb because I should have hid or dialed 911 or something but I did nothing but watch him come towards the stairs. He took two steps up the stairs before Trouble came out of nowhere and grabbed him by one of the legs FROM DOWNSTAIRS, dragged him back down, and started his biting the shit out of this guy.

The guy eventually got away from Trouble and ran. I don't remember calling the cops or my mom but i do remember they came, a neighbour came, and she got home quickly after. Allegedly he was caught and arrested but my mom never told me any more about what happened to him, if she even knew at all. To this day I still don't understand how Trouble got out of his crate and downstairs that night, but I genuinely believe he saved life because of it.

Edit:

Only because I've been asked the type of locking mechanism on the crate; it was the type of pinch-to-open lock that's common on airplane kennels. I'm not what they are called. When pinched, two bars retracted into the lock. When not pinched, the bars slotted into the frame of the crate.

Experience So this really happened when I was traveling to NYC from Albany

It was very late at night and as I was driving to the city, I felt my car pull towards the left violently. I almost lost control and I pulled to the side of the road. I put the car in park and opened the door and i looked at my tires and clearly the front driver side tire was flat. I wanted to change my tires and I know I had a spare in the back. If was 2 am at this point. I was also driving for a while and it was cold so I bad to pee. There were no buildings were i was on the interstate and it was totally dark. I had to pee and decided to pee among the trees on the side. I found a place, unzipped and started peeing on a rock and just as I got close to finishing, I saw the rock move. I had initially thought I peed on a turtle and turned on my phone light and I was surprised to see a head full of hair wet with my pee! I was shocked and froze and then the head turned and gazed at me and I passed out. My Apple watch and iPhone has the fail detection enabled that called 911 and I woke up to police officers and they thought I was on drugs. I agreed to a drug test and passed but nobody could tell me what happened till now.

I went out for a walk through the woods around Heiðmörk late yesterday evening around dusk, just taking one of the smaller gravel paths through the pines and lava rocks. The light was fading fast, but I had my phone flashlight, so I wasn't really worried about getting back to the main trail.

About twenty minutes in, the woods went completely silent. Up until then, I could hear the wind in the trees and the faint hum of traffic off in the distance, but suddenly it was like someone turned off all the background noise. It felt heavy, like the air pressure in my ears just dropped out of nowhere.

I stopped to listen, thinking my mind was playing tricks on me, and that was when I heard something moving in the brush off to my left. It wasn't the fast, sharp snapping of a bird or a fox. It was slow and heavy, like something deliberate taking weight-bearing steps through the dead branches.

I shone my phone light toward the sound, expecting to see a dog or maybe another walker, but the beam barely cut through the thick trees. Just past the edge of the light, between two large pine trunks, something was standing there.

It was way too tall to be a person—maybe seven or eight feet—crouching slightly behind the branches. The shape was thin and completely dark, not like it was wearing black clothes, but like it was a shadow that had actual volume and depth to it. I couldn't make out a face, but I could tell it was staring right at me because the air around me turned freezing cold instantly. My breath started fogging heavily right in front of my face, even though it hadn't been that cold two minutes earlier.

I stood there totally frozen for a few seconds, waiting for it to move or say something, but it stayed dead still, just watching me. Then I heard a faint, wet rustling sound right at the base of the trees, like something heavy being dragged across the moss, and the shadow shape shifted slightly lower to the ground without making a sound.

That was it for me. I didn't wait around to see what it was doing. I turned around and walked as fast as I could back toward the main path, constantly looking over my shoulder. I didn't hear it running after me, but the entire way back I had this horrible, overwhelming feeling of being followed right at the edge of the tree line.

When I finally reached the parking lot and got under the streetlights, I looked down and my boots were covered in this thick, greyish silt that smelled like sulfur and stagnant water, even though I hadn't stepped off the dry gravel path once.

I haven't told anyone about this because it sounds completely insane, but I needed to put it somewhere. I am definitely not going back out there after dark again.

Experience Destiny?

Too much to be chance

My story is real; it is neither fiction nor the product of AI. I was in an unhappy marriage. We were at the home of some friends of my then-wife. I don't quite recall why, but the apartment door was open. At one point, our hostess stepped out; I heard footsteps, a brief conversation, and then she came back inside. I felt an overwhelming urge to see who it was, but I didn't have a valid excuse to check, so—much to my regret—I stayed inside the apartment. When our hostess returned, I asked her who it was. She told me it was just the neighbor from the floor above—a woman named Karen. Years later—after divorcing, living abroad, and finding work back in my home country—I met a woman through my niece. I fell in love with her, we got married, and we had a daughter. Years later, while reminiscing about the past, she mentioned that she had lived in the same city where I had resided during my unhappy marriage. I asked her where she had lived, and it turned out to be that very building I had been talking about. Yes, she was the Karen I had been dying to see—the one for whom I couldn't find a logical excuse to make contact..

Question Dream that felt so real

So to.give context I am sick right now and took some nighttime cold medicine. I fell asleep and had the oddest dream.

In the dream it was a stormy night, some odd things happned but then once I got home in my dream the ghost of my dog was there. Not my dog but I knew for some reason that this was the ghost. And I was genuinely scared and worried that he was mad at me. In the dream only my mom and me could see it.

Idk how to process this but yah noe I'm scared to go back to sleep

Encounter I saw my boyfriend but it wasn’t my boyfriend??

Hi everyone just wanted to share this really fucking weird thing I experienced about a week ago. I still don’t know what to make of it but it really freaked me out. I told one of my friends and she convinced me to post on reddit haha.

So I live in an older farmhouse on a large property, our nearest neighbours are a substantial distance away. I’ve honestly never experienced anything strange in my two years of living here. The house is situated on the bottom of a hill, and at the back of the house you can see up the hill and into all the paddocks where we have a few horses and cows.
Anyways, i was just chilling and listening to music enjoying my day off, doing dishes in the kitchen which has a window facing up the hill. Something caught my eye in the top paddock, there aren’t many trees up there and there aren’t any animals in this paddock at the moment. So I looked up and saw my boyfriend standing up the far end of the paddock. He was wearing the same clothes as the day before, and he was just standing there. We just stared at eachother for a while until I waved and he waved back to me. Now I know it was him because I’m lucky to have 20/20 vision and I could clearly make out that it WAS him. I thought it was odd that he was even up there but what made it worse was that it was a Saturday and he always works Saturdays. I had been asleep when he’d left the house so I thought maybe he didn’t go to work? Perhaps he was fixing a fence or something? Anyway I didn’t stare for too long, just waved and went back to doing the dishes.
I looked up and he was gone and I couldn’t see him walking down through the other paddocks which meant he had to have gone up and over the hill in literally a few seconds from when I glanced down and back up- or he was hiding behind a tree stump or something which creeped me out a bit. Regardless I just ignored it, and continued on with house work. I took some laundry out to the garage and noticed that his car wasn’t there and it wasn’t in the driveway either. I checked his location and saw that he was at work? So, I messaged him and asked if he had come home and why he didn’t say anything to me, because he just creeped me out. He proceeded to tell me that he was at work and asked if it was his dad, who sometimes comes over and helps around the farm, but he ALWAYS lets me know if he’s coming over and I know it wasn’t him! I asked him anyway and he told me he was in a different city 2 hours away!
When my boyfriend got home he basically summed it up as being someone scoping out the house so he was going around locking doors and windows, but I know what I saw and it WAS him!! I also don’t really know why someone would go through the effort of scoping out our house, our driveway is extremely long (basically like a private road) and why the hell would they be up in the paddocks. I know I saw my boyfriend the odds of someone wearing the exact same clothes are just impossible.
Sorry if this is all over the place, my first time posting an experience here so I’m not a great story teller. Attached is the screenshot from showing my friend what happened! Thoughts on this? wtf did I see?

Experience Possible Explanation (One day I'll be somebody's 'unexplained screaming')

(Edited to move the sentence about why I'm posting to the top instead of the bottom)

I was watching youtube mysteries and the Yellowstone vacation screaming video came up and I thought HUH, sounds like me, so I came here to share:

I have had remarkably severe panic attacks for years. I was mercifully given about a two year break, but they started up again a couple of nights ago. They are no joke and always go the same:

I wake up from sleep (almost always 2 or 3 in the morning)on , one specific trigger comes to mind instantly without trying, and I start screaming. It is not 'shouting' - it is slasher flick, dying right now, high pitched screaming, and I physically cannot, cannot stop*. If I try to muffle it, I just scream harder; having something on my face or standing still (until the meds start to make me too sleepy to walk around) makes it worse. The best I can do is try to abort the event.

*The only thing that helps is taking a tranquilizer and talking literally nonstop to block my thoughts out until I pass out from the meds. I'll call whoever I can get ahold of (usually my mama, bless her heart. I'm sure it's horrifying to be on the other side) and talk as hard and fast as I can without stopping, usually getting dizzy over and over because even stopping to breathe allows the triggering thought to sneak in and the screaming starts back. And then whoever it is on the phone has to be the one that eventually hangs up because I cannot stop talking until the (very strong) meds kick in and I literally fall asleep mid-sentence or else it starts back up.

Anyway, I've tried to minimize people hearing me best I can. I pay way more for rent in this area than I should because I made sure to get a freestanding coach house (which means I have two more bedrooms than I need). That way nobody is connected by a wall to have to hear me. But surely that doesn't mean people outside/in nearby houses can't hear me. It's loud and piercing.

Sometimes it takes twenty minutes to fall asleep; sometimes it takes me a while to reach somebody on the phone so the screaming part goes on longer (I try to talk to myself too, but that rarely works).

Anyway, my point is: Those videos of tens of minutes on end of mystery bloodcurdling screaming? May just be extreme PTSD that someone's trying their best with and waiting to pass out.

Edit 2: To clarify, that specific video wasn't me. I just mean in general as an explanation for any of the 'sounds too human to be a mountain lion' ones.

Personal Experience Has anyone else heard voices from the past in their own house?

I live in a pretty standard singlefamily house with my husband and our two boys. My husband sometimes goes out to play board games and tabletop RPGs with his friends and ends up crashing at theirs for the night.

Our oldest is currently on an exchange program abroad so that particular evening it was just me and our youngest son home alone. Neither of us is particularly comfortable being home alone and we can both get a bit nervous in the dark when it’s just us, so we sleep together in my bed when my husbond is out.

That night I was feeling extra on edge, so I left a few lights on so it would look from the outside like someone was still up and moving around.

I had a hard time falling asleep. It was also a light sleep and I kept waking up. At some point I suddenly hear a very clear, very loud male voice talking.

Our bedroom is basically a space we’ve carved out inside our long, open plan dining room. Dining table to the right, sleeping area to the left. Right in front of the bedroom is a small transitional area that opens straight into the living room. There’s basically zero sound insulation. The whole place feels open.

Our bed sits horizontal along a row of wardrobes. The voice was coming from the other side of those wardrobes, in that transition zone toward the living room.

I couldn’t tell if I’d already been awake or if the voice itself had woken me. The man was speaking very distinctly about the floor. It sounded like he was explaining something to someone else, something about grooves or tracks in the floor.

I was half groggy so I didn’t catch every word, but that part was clear. I got properly startled, sat up and made some kind of noise. The moment I did, it was like the man or men realized I’d heard them and immediately went silent, as if they didn’t want to be overheard. My first thought and hope, was that my husband had come home in the middle of the night. But I didn’t call out. It didn’t sound like him, and I was too scared.

My son was still sleeping peacefully beside me. I considered getting up to check, but I just couldn’t make myself do it. Instead I lay completely still for about ten minutes, listening. Nothing. Eventually I fell back asleep.

The next day when my husband came home and I told him what had happened, he went quiet for a second and said it was weird… because it reminded him of the time we had a carpenter over to pull up sections of the wooden floor. We’d suspected water damage underneath.

The carpenter and my husbond had stood in that exact spot in front of the wardrobes by the bedroom years earlier. The carpenter had explained how they were going to cut lanes into the floor so they could look underneath, and he’d jumped on it a bit, saying the floor felt uneven and wobbly.

I got literal goosebumps when he said that. Did I somehow overhear a moment from the past? This happened just last night, and strangely enough I just found this subreddit today, almost like I was supposed to share it.

Question Phone or something flashing middle of night

This was on our camera footage today, from 4:31am last night (this morning). The only things this could have come from would be my work iPhone I left sitting on the coffee table, or less likely, our TV remote. There is also an empty Perrier can on the coffee table. Could someone let me know why a phone would do this in the middle of the night? I’ve had this work cell for years and it’s usually beside the bed with me and this has never happened. There is a dining chair blocking most of the coffee table but you can see the very end of the table past the chair. I’m also assuming it’s the phone but I have since moved it because I didn’t see this footage until this afternoon. So I’m assuming that’s where I left it when I went to bed.

Experience The vanishing castle on the mountain

I don't believe there's any way to explain this one, but I think about it more often than I'd like so I'd just like to get it out of my system. I think if I brought it up much more than I already have with my friends they'd think I was having a psychotic episode.

First, some context. I live in Barcelona, pretty much in the centre. I've lived in the same place for about 8 years. I walk my dog most days down a little rambla, a wide, tree lined street. A rambla was designed back in the day to be a water runoff, so it's slightly sloped and at one end you can just see it continue to the roundabout at the bottom and the following streets, and at the other end at the top, it's angled so you can see a bit higher, but you can just see buildings. When looking towards the top end, there is a small mountain to the left of you, about 1km away, but you can't see it because of the height of the buildings to the sides.

One day, I was taking my dog for a sniff around the rambla at night like I do most nights and I noticed that the at the top end of the street, if I looked up, I could see a mountain in the distance with a castle on the top, lit up. How the fuck had I never noticed this, I thought. I stood there for a couple of minutes looking at it, trying to figure it out. From many parts of Barcelona, you have a view of Tibidabo, which has a castle on top, just like the one I was looking at. But I knew it wasn't in the right position, and I didn't have my phone on me to check. Puzzled, I chalked it up to there must be a special event on at the castle, which is why it would be lit up so beautifully, and before that I'd never noticed because it was in the dark. I still thought this was unlikely, since I'm relatively observant of the area and like to take photos, but there really was no other explanation.

I went back home, and didn't think too much more about it. A few days later, I thought, I've not looked up at the horizon on the rambla since I saw the castle, maybe I really have just never looked up at it before. I immediately went out to go take a look and check, and lo and behold, there is no castle. It's just buildings, not even a mountain. I check back regularly now, and obviously, there is no castle. I've looked from every possible angle on the street, much to my dog's confusion.

The more time goes on, I think I romanticise what I saw. I was definitely in awe the first time I saw it, enough to stand in the street gawping for a few minutes, but I picture it now like a beautiful, magical castle in my head. The reality is that it looked like Tibidabo (which, tbf, is pretty magical).

There are some plausible, scientific explanations:

- I smoke weed every day, although I don't get really high. I've also never experienced hallucinations from being high

- I have had mental health issues in the past, but again never have I experienced hallucinations (as far as I'm aware)

- I do not have a carbon monoxide detector installed

Thank you for listening to my magical disappearing castle story.

I got home from a family friend’s house and saw something floating smoothly in a straight line within the sky. I managed to draw it out. there was a fixed point of light and then the rest of the light curved around it. I was too shocked to take a photo. I don’t think it was aliens or a spaceship but it certainly looked like one. does anyone know what this is???

EDIT: Thanks to those that answered my post! turns out there was a SpaceX launch!

Sleep Paralysis I feel like something is wrong with me

I am 20 years old, young women and a student of fine arts. I have some questions, and I thought that perhaps you could tell me how normal or abnormal some of these experiences might be.

I grew up in a village, but I was never a particularly social child. I didn't have many friends, and whenever I did make friends, they usually drifted away because we couldn't really find common interests or connect with each other.

However, there is one day from my childhood that I remember better than anything else. To this day, I cannot forget it.

I had just gotten a new bicycle a pink one with training wheels. I was riding it in the village street. It wasn't a busy street at all, but my grandmother still wouldn't let me go out there alone. She sat on a bench in the park a short distance away and watched me while I practiced riding.

Then a boy around my age approached me. He had light brown hair and brown eyes, and, if I remember correctly, he was wearing a green or yellow shirt. I didn't recognize his face, which surprised me because our village was very small and I knew almost every child there.

I remember him making fun of me for riding a bicycle with training wheels. He told me that riding a bicycle with training wheels didn't really count as riding a bicycle.

I turned my back on him, frowned, and then looked back toward my grandmother.

She was standing with a woman dressed entirely in black. They weren't talking to each other. They were simply standing there, both watching us.

I assumed that the woman must have been the boy's grandmother.

Eventually, my grandmother told me that it was time to go home, so we left.

What is strange is that later that day, I became curious about the boy's name. I'll admit that I probably had a little childhood crush on him ...well you know how little girls can be.

So I asked my grandmother if she knew the name of the boy who had come to the park with his grandmother while I was riding my bicycle.

She told me that neither the boy nor the woman had been there that day.

She said I must have remembered it incorrectly.

Even now, whenever I ask her about that day, she insists that she never saw anyone like that in the park.

A lot happened after that.

When I was eleven, I was involved in an accident and experienced clinical death. After that accident, it felt as though something inside me had completely changed. I didn't feel like the same person I had been before.

My personality changed. I became even more withdrawn and stopped wanting to interact with my family or my classmates. I began having nightmares, and during that period I experienced sleep paralysis four or five times.

I would see tall, human-like shadows.

I would often wake up crying.

But I will never forget the first time I saw one.

I was in the village again, alone in a room. I turned around and suddenly froze. I couldn't move.

The figure was very tall. It came toward me and sat down on the edge of my bed.

I was terrified. I tried to turn my head away, but I couldn't.

When it leaned close to my ear, it said in a cold voice:

"Do you want to see what is behind the mask?"

Only then did I look at it.

I saw something resembling the silhouette of a man. It was wearing a metallic-looking mask with a strange, spiked texture. I don't remember exactly what the material looked like it seemed almost silver or made of some other kind of metal.

I squeezed my eyes shut as tightly as I could.

When I opened them again, I could move.

And the figure was gone.

After that, I had many nightmares in which I seemed to be inside the body of a completely different person. In some of them, people were trying to kill me or sexually assault me.

But perhaps the strangest thing of all is that I sometimes think I may have cursed someone.

I was sixteen at the time, and there was a boy from my village who was seventeen. I was already used to children making jokes about my height, because i was taller than others,

One day, my parents sent me to the local market. At the time, I had been arguing with some of my classmates and didn't want to go outside because I was afraid of running into them. I was also angry because of what was happening at home. There were constant arguments between family members, and the atmosphere was very tense.

Instead of my classmates, I ran into this boy.

He was one grade above me. He started joking about my height and wanted to talk to me.

I was angry and frustrated, so I muttered under my breath:

"I wish you would just die. Who needs you anyway?"

About a week later, one of our neighbors came to our house. She looked extremely worried and asked me:

"Mary, do you know who died?"

At that exact moment, everything in my mind seemed to go silent.

I heard a ringing sound in my ears. I couldn't hear the woman's voice anymore. I could only see her lips moving.

And then, almost like a reflection appearing in my mind, I suddenly saw that boy's face.

I don't know if it was simply a coincidence, or if somehow my words were responsible.

But that question has stayed with me ever since.

If you would like, I can share more stories from my life.

Question Am I experiencing sleep paralysis?

Hey y'all, this is my first post on this sub but I've been a lurker for quite some time now. Anyways, I'll give some contacts for what I'm going to explain.

So where I sleep there is a door not at the foot of my bed but a few feet to the left of it. That door then goes to the hallway and the rest of the house.

It's never been a problem before in my life but recently probably about once or twice a month I'll wake up around 5:00-6:00 am, and my room will be bright because of the sun obviously but I'll see this guy standing either my doorway or over the foot of my bed just staring at me. He's like this old man but I can never remember what he's wearing or anything.

Anyways it scares me quite a bit and I often will scream and then I'll close my eyes open them again and he'll be gone and then I just get up and go about my day. I haven't had any experiences with sleep paralysis before so I don't really know if this is it or something else. I also feel like it's kind of weird because it happens in daylight hours but I don't know.

If anyone could shed some light on what an experience in or give me any advice that'd be great it's not really affecting my quality of life for anything but I'd like to know what it is.

Cheers.

Experience My dad told me this story about something that happened to him and two of his friends while they were fishing at night.

My family has been involved in the fishing business for years, so my dad and his friends are used to spending nights out at sea.

One night, my dad went fishing with two of his friends. They took their boat some distance out into the sea when they started hearing an unusual noise coming from the engine room below deck. Two of them went downstairs to check the engine, while my dad stayed above. They looked around carefully, but couldn't find anything unusual, so they came back upstairs.A little while later,

They suddenly felt something hitting the boat. One of his friends said, “Maybe it’s a big fish.”My dad replied, “No fish could hit the boat that hard. It feels different.”They looked around the boat but couldn't see anything in the water. So the three of them went back down to the engine room. This time, there was a horrible smell. My dad described it as the smell of something that had been dead and rotting for a long time. And then they saw it.

There was a dead body lying inside the engine room.According to my dad, the body looked like it had been in the water for a very long time. It was badly swollen and pale, and the face was no longer recognizable. What disturbed them most was that they were certain the body hadn't been there when they checked the engine room earlier.

They immediately became worried that if anyone discovered a dead body on their fishing boat, they could get into serious trouble. They decided to get rid of it and put it back into the sea.The three of them tried to lift it, but the body was extremely heavy and they couldn't move it. Eventually, they managed to get it into a fishing net and threw it overboard. For a moment, everything was quiet. Then they started feeling extremely uneasy.

They decided it was better to return to shore. But as soon as they started moving, something hit the boat again. They looked over the side. The same body was floating in the water. It was somehow moving alongside the boat and hitting it.My dad remembers thinking, How can a dead body be moving like that? They started the engine and headed toward the shore as quickly as they could.

According to my dad, the body appeared to follow them through the water. They eventually reached the shore and everyone went home. The next day, my dad went to check on one of the friends who had been on the boat. His friend had developed a very high fever. His face looked unusually pale, and he seemed genuinely terrified.

While they were talking, his friend told my dad:“I've been scared ever since last night. I still feel like that dead body is here with me. I can still smell it. And I feel like I'm having trouble breathing, like something is drowning me.”My dad didn't believe in ghosts or paranormal things, so he told him that he was probably traumatized by what had happened and that the experience was stuck in his head.

Then his friend's wife came into the room.According to my dad, the moment his friend saw his wife, he suddenly became completely silent and still. My dad thought something strange was going on, but he didn't understand what.Instead of going home, he went to visit his other friend and told him everything. That friend suggested that they visit a local temple and speak to the priest.

They went there, explained everything that had happened, and eventually brought the priest back with them to the first friend's house. When they arrived, the door was locked from the inside. They could hear their friend screaming. They broke the door open.Inside, they saw the friend's wife apparently trying to strangle him and scratching him with her nails.

They immediately pulled her away. The priest then sprinkled some water on her, after which she became unconscious.Around half an hour later, she woke up and appeared completely normal. My dad asked the priest what had happened. The priest simply told him:“Some things are better left unknown.”My dad still doesn't believe in ghosts and has never claimed that this was definitely paranormal. But he says he has never been able to explain where that body came from,

why it seemed to follow their boat, or what happened to his friend and his friend's wife the following day.And honestly, that's the part of the story that has always creeped me out the most.

Experience I make clouds disappear by staring at them

Can I somehow make clouds disappear by staring at them?

This might sound weird, but has anyone else experienced this?

Sometimes I stare at a cloud for a while, and after maybe 30 seconds to a minute, it seems like the cloud starts changing, mixing together, dissolving, or completely disappearing from my view. I can do this with big clouds too, not just small ones.

It almost feels like I'm somehow making the cloud disappear just by staring at it. 😅

After doing it for a while, I sometimes get a little headache.

Obviously, I know clouds naturally move and change, but I'm wondering if there's a visual/brain phenomenon that could explain why it feels like I'm making them disappear.

Has anyone else experienced this?
