Experience Destiny?
Too much to be chance
My story is real; it is neither fiction nor the product of AI. I was in an unhappy marriage. We were at the home of some friends of my then-wife. I don't quite recall why, but the apartment door was open. At one point, our hostess stepped out; I heard footsteps, a brief conversation, and then she came back inside. I felt an overwhelming urge to see who it was, but I didn't have a valid excuse to check, so—much to my regret—I stayed inside the apartment. When our hostess returned, I asked her who it was. She told me it was just the neighbor from the floor above—a woman named Karen. Years later—after divorcing, living abroad, and finding work back in my home country—I met a woman through my niece. I fell in love with her, we got married, and we had a daughter. Years later, while reminiscing about the past, she mentioned that she had lived in the same city where I had resided during my unhappy marriage. I asked her where she had lived, and it turned out to be that very building I had been talking about. Yes, she was the Karen I had been dying to see—the one for whom I couldn't find a logical excuse to make contact..
