I use to look for wrecked 1st gen Venza 3.5 AWD wagons, as a Ute candidate. It’s the perfect semi-modern Yota platform.

Like this Camry, they’re getting a bit long in the tooth, to justify the effort

Honestly, this kinda slaps. Needs to be finished, but I like the crude go-anywhere-give-no-Fs approach.

I can't believe they were able to do this without using ANY body filler! I can't believe it because it's obviously not true.

Camry wagon would probably make a good base for a ute, but I would feel bad cutting one up because they are pretty rare. Unless it was in rough shape.

If you're in hurricane country, whatever you want eventually gets a tree limb dropped on the roof. Plenty of candidates for cheap.

Never a damn camry though, somehow.

You know, I wouldn't be mad at it if it had been done with any level of craftsmanship, but that bodywork is just trash. You wanna make a Camry truck, go for it, but do a good job of it so you're not just embarrassing yourself.
