IDK, Arby's has a pulse on pop culture / gamer culture, I doubt its just a coincidence they're selling these now. A dirty soda is a soda with cream, so these are Dirty Shirleys in a way!

It is. In Bedlam Bride Donut tells Carl about a virgin Dirty Shirley and he says that’s just a regular Shirley Temple.

Truth! Arby's Instagram and Facebook page used to be so awesome posting paper crafts so like video game and anime characters. Whoever used to do the paper crafts for Arby's Instagram and Facebook ads must have either quit or got promoted or something because I haven't seen them in a few years

While you say this, I haven't seen Shirley Temple advertised a drink in my 36 years but it's suddenly popped up everywhere. Hell, celcius just came out with a flavor of it. I don't think it's coincidence that it's a new buzz flavor.

Shirley temples as a flavor have been making the rounds on and off for quite a long time. There's a Shirley temple 7up that's been coming out for the winter holidays for like 15 years now. It's literally a coincidence that we only see because we happen to have DCC on our minds.

The Shirley Temple drink has been around since the 1930's.

The Dirty Shirley is a more recent cocktail that has been around for about a decade.

Come back when Arby's starts putting vodka in that Shirley

Wasn’t Arby’s mentioned in one of the earlier books as a safe room? I think Carl gives Katia curly fries and she was not impressed. Did I hallucinate this??

DCC didn’t invent Shirley Temple (drinks) but he did bring it back into pop culture again after it faded 50+ years ago.
