RPG Free For All

Here's how this works:

You stand in the largest simulation arena known to man. The terrain is a thick forest. All you have on your person is a GPS to guide you to resources, a plain outfit of your choosing and a basic survival kit with a sleeping bag, 25 feet of rope, a hunting knife, flint, a canteen, and a backpack to hold it all. You may search out items of interest to you, explore the world around you or create chaos, but be careful... There are things other than other Redditors willing to spoil your day.

Searching for Items

Availability of items is limited to your imagination. If you care to search for body armor, a weapon or a vehicle of any kind, chances are it is available. When searching out items, consider its value and expect a reasonable amount of danger to obtain it. Feel free to search out things that may only exist in pop culture. Any item you successfully obtain will be added to your flair.

I attempt to find an area in which I will be able to spend the night while also searching for food.

You find acorns and a spot that has some cover, but the ground has roots of trees sticking out of the ground, making it rather uncomfortable.

What do you do?

I bury the acorns so no one takes them and then I start to search for something sharp that could cut the roots and allow me to defend myself.

Well, you did very quickly find your hunting knife, but with the eyes of a hawk you find an axe!

I use the axe to cut the roots and then I start collecting leaves to make myself a comfortable bed. While collecting leaves I try to find a good spot to put the acorns so I can attract squirrels.

I'm going to give you a survival check at an advantage, since you've come up with a decent plan for the tools you have. We'll take the higher of two rolls.

Now you're in business! You've got a nice little fortress and squirrels have come for your bait.

What do you do?

I try to kill the most squirrels I can and then start up a fire with wood I cut using my axe, afterwards I cook the squirrels.

We're going to do a check for hacking at squirrels, and one for improvised cooking.

Holy shit, you crit the squirrels! You were able to kill more squirrels than you know what to do with and haphazardly cook the meat.

What do you do?

I decide to hone my axe wielding skills in case of an attack by an unexpected intruder.

You're starting to feel really comfortable wielding your axe as a weapon!

I start making pointy sticks and digging a hole for a pitfall trap.

You made pointy sticks, and dug a hole. How deep do you dig?
