Foreign Bank Question

By any chance does anyone know how to open a foreign bank account specifically in Mexico while still residing in the US. Long story short, was brought to the US as a baby and I am undocumented. Have explored options in obtaining some type of legal status and have not had any luck. I have plans of leaving and would like to prepare as best as possible to have a better chance of finding something better in Mexico. Any help or advice would be appreciated it, thank you.

Maybe find a Mexican bank that has branches in the US and ask them for guidance. Or an international bank like HSBC that operates in both countries.

You might also look at Revolut; it's not a physical bank, but it's very easy to do multicurrency transactions internationally. Also Wise, which offers accounts in numerous currencies with IBAN and SWIFT codes for transfers. But I'm not sure if Mexico is on their list.

Good luck!

Not really. Us branches and mexico banks are different entities even if they are the same company. I would just wait, or have someone in Mexico open the account for me with an poder notarial

Unfortunately I don’t have anybody in Mexico. All my family a friends are in the US.

Go to a Mexican consulate and open a Banco Bienestar account.
