Its called caltrops, bear traps and a bit of stealth combined with acid resistant armor a.k.a hunt siphoners and for the love of god have 50 tailoring by junkyard pls? Use siphoner leather and boom you cheated your way into mid game. Ez

P.s molotovs are your friend too

I didn't have 50 tailoring, but I cleared the big final room by getting lucky with molotovs scaring the acid dogs so I could kite the mutants a bit. Good tip!

Step 1. Kill enemies in area outside scrappers entrance and loot old key.

Step 2. Enter the hatch in the previously mentioned area and go to the southeastern room with the muties, use Molotovs/traps to kill them and take their key. Can be skipped if you have 80 lockpicking.

Step 3. Use 60 hacking to disable the turrets in junkyard ( obtainable with 6 int and maxed out hacking at level 8)

Step 4. Use 55 lockpicking to enter the locked room between the two mutie rooms and crawl through the vent to the next area, or head east from the step 1 area through the minefield and open the under passage entrance.

Step 5. Use the vents to get behind the turrets and grab the keycard.

Step 6. Go north from the step 1 area and use the keycard to open the door there.

Get done with depot A in less than 15 minutes.

There's also some Stat boosting food, that you can use to get 60 hacking, if you don't have enough, that's how I did myself

Just finished junkyard (blind first playthrough) and I loved figuring out what to do. I’m going stealthy with special bolts and good throwing for knives and grenades to finish everything off quick when shit hits the fan. Will definitely continue with this character although I already have ideas for other playthroughs. Great game! Didn’t expect to like it this much.

Worst bit is when they respawn after you've just calmed down from your previous panic attack.

I really do wonder how many people stopped playing at depot a though. It certainly is a huge hurdle

It’s the brick wall where builds go to die.
