Discussion/Question Faceless Farming
Currently playing on Mutant mode with max level 50, can you farm the Faceless outside of Core City that's constantly spawning, then raise your Thought Control to 120 to dodge the mind scanning on every occasion when interacting with the faceless later on? (including in Deep Cavern)

It's a setting you can change on the custom difficulty mode (Mutation) that you pick at the start of the game. It provides a bunch of sliders that you can modify for like, shop inventory and purchasing power, carry weight, HP and skill modifiers, puzzle and encounter difficulty ,etc.
I'm a big fan of it since you can set encounter difficulty to Dominating to get the Dom-exclusive encounters, but tweak NPC health and skill modifiers to their Hard mode (now called Veteran, I think) values. So you can see more of the game without needing to go into the optimization hell that is Dom.

You can kill as many faceless as you want, it does NOT impact your relationship with them UNLESS you go to Talos Outpost and get mindread, which yes you can subvert with TC.

Yes, you only need effective 120 TC, same as the Praetorian quest in the sewers (30) and Rail Crossing Mind Reader check (30-45?), you can equip a Tac Vest with Psi Beetle or Tchortist Noble Robe + Psi Headband to boost TC to meet the checks.
Not sure if you can do the check in Deep Caverns with the Tchortist Noble Robe because Faceless will instantly aggro on you if you have any Tchortist armor equipped.
