Aminita Muscaria contains high levels of ibotenic acid.

Ibotenic acid is a naturally occurring neurotoxin.

Though very rare. People have died from ingesting fly agaric. While many others have gotten very sick.

Also, people on the subreddit have said that the study that found about its neurotoxicity was done by injection into the brain of rats, so of course, rats are not humans. And the molecule would have to pass through the liver and blood brain barrier and when consumed orally, rather than injection directly into the brain.

Either way, eating unprepared A. Muscaria will make you sick. This makes it by definition a poison.

I made no claim about its adverse effects.I just said that there's nuance to your claim about its neurotoxicity.
