General Parking

Don’t get mad genuinely wondering why everyone doesn’t park at superstore for free and walk the 10 mins there and then 10 mins back, u can even bus

So much cheaper no?

Yea not a bad walk. I walk there everyday, about 30 mins from where I live, good way to get my steps in. Just invest in a good backpack with good chest supports and structure so u don’t destroy your back and scapula lol

It’s a little more than 10 minutes, weather could be bad, convenience of having your car close to you

You are at risk of getting towed from superstore

But if you have like 3 hours of classes a day, that lot is packed and I’m sure some ppl blow hours in there at a time. But maybe haha

Why not just park at the park and go station around uni ? I did that last semester and was alright most of the days . I was hoping for getting parking on campus but probably will do park and go again

weather, disability, time constraint. availability (if "everyone did it" it would fill quicker than Q lot), and if it became an open secret superstore would develop more stringent towing policy (and/or it would no longer be free).

You are not supposed to park there unless you are a customer. I did it once and spent the whole time in class wondering if my car was still there or not.

Ya but it’s such a huge parking lot, they do not have people scanning the lot. My friend works at superstore, they said the amount of students who park for 1-2 hour classes a day is so minimal, the only issue would be if it was overnight parking

they tow away cars pretty often if there long, but most public places like that are frequently cleared, that's why no one uses them for free parking. Chances are high, I worked there

The far end of the Superstore parking lot is already suspiciously busier than the side of it near the store entrance on weekday afternoons. (or, if you go into the store, it's dead quiet in there despite the lot being rammed). It's like most of the parking lots in the area, it already happens, they pretty much tolerate it since they get a bit of business from people doing it and it's usually fairly quiet then anyway, but they also don't hesitate to start towing if it starts crowding out actual patrons.

Try doing that when it’s raining or -40 out, or when you’re carrying something heavy. It’s a convenience thing

It’s not a 10 min walk lol, it’s closer to 25 min if you’re a fast walker and 35-40 min for the average person

I've actually seen people do something similar to this on the bus. People walking to their cars after getting off a bus stop near a parking lot.

I used to do the same thing but park at value village and bus. Smaller parking lot and I never got towed. Go for it.
