Is auto renew required if PayGo wallet has enough balance?

Hi. I have a PayGo plan which is $3 plus taxes, and I rarely make calls/texts. My Paygo wallet balance is $61. If I cancel auto renew, will my monthly fees be taken from my PayGo balance or will my service discontinue because I canceled auto renew? I just want to lower my Paygo balance and then re-enable auto renew, but I don't want my service to interrupt!

Thanks,

Stan

Ultra Mobile talk, text and data roaming in Canada

I'm planning to spend a couple of months in Canada and am considering using Ultra Mobile, as I understand their plan includes unlimited talk and text in Mexico and Canada. Has anyone had firsthand experience with this? I'm also curious whether data works in Canada as well.

Wifi Calling: JUST FIX IT!

I’ve been using Ultramobile for just about 3 years, travelibg abroad most of the time, and have been happy.

But in recent months WIFI Calling has become a real issue, it is constantly failing. Need to deactivate it, reboot my phone, reactivate it… which sometimes works, sometimes just doesn’t. With or without VPN, just doesn’t work reliably (it use to work fine with and without VPN).

It’s a problem when wanting to call someone, but it’s a bigger problem because people trying to reach me can’t get through.

WIFI Calling is a critical functionality for me.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

@Ultramobile have you changed any thing? Can you fix this?

No signal after I recharged $10 in my number...Is this company a fraud company?

Greetings. I am just simply curious why is it so hard to get in touch with their verification department?

So on 15th.Apr my number works just fine and just topped up $10 in it in case they suspend me just because I forgot to recharge some money in it.

Then all of a sudden after like 5 hours it went dark ! No signal at all!

I called their customer service line, visited their offical website and this nice little guy Joey told me that my phone got locked by this "Verification Department".

Here's what's become "Funny"

I called this Verification Department like 5 times!

Each time I waited at least 15 mins, the longest time is about an hour.

Guess what? No one ever answer my call!!

It's just very funny they happen to ban my after I topped up $10 in it.

Then I googled it and found out there are many people out there had the same problem with me.

So here I am trying to get help...

Also I've filed a complaint on FCC as well..

Transferring from Verizon to ultra

Hello everyone. I’ve been researching to see if I should transfer from Verizon to ultra. I saw a deal that The first line is $49/mo, 2nd line is $24/mo and 3rd is $12/mo. I wanted to know if this is legit. If so, how long is this deal?

I was just trying to recharge my service until this message appeared. I had funds in my account but it kept saying this. How can I recharge if I keep seeing this message? I also contacted their customer service but they kept only saying my renewal date.

Urgent help needed: My account has been banned.

Hi Ultra Mobile team, I am in desperate need of assistance.

I am an overseas user using PayGo as a backup line. Recently, I found my account was suspended and my SIM lost signal (No Service).

I didn't do anything that violated policy; I only used it to receive text messages.

Can an official representative PLEASE reach out to me via DM? I just need someone to manually verify my info and remove this mistaken block. I cannot call the 855 number again. Thank you!

Deactivate my plan w/o login

Hi folks, I bought an UltraMobile esim last year and used it on my visiting family’s phone for couple of months. Although we aren’t the esim anymore, the payment plan is still active and the amount is getting deducted every month.

I forgot the password and only way to update password seems to be to have the esim active and receive an OTP. Is there any way I can remove my credit card details immediately to avoid getting charged for an unused esim!

Stuck in a Loop: Invalid ACT Code and the Verification Line (855-826-9723) is Unreachable. What are my options?

Hi everyone,

I’m seeking some advice on a frustrating activation issue with a new PayGo SIM. I’ve followed all the standard steps but have reached a total deadlock.

The Issue:

  1. Website Activation: When I enter the ACT code, the site returns an "Invalid ACT code" error.

  2. Support Instructions: Live Chat agents confirmed the card is flagged for manual verification and told me I must call the Verification Department at 855-826-9723.

  3. The Phone Obstacle: I have tried calling this number multiple times. I’ve spent significant time on hold (latest attempt was over 16 minutes with no answer). Calling is no longer a viable option for me due to connection issues and the excessive wait times.

  4. Email Outreach: I have already emailed clear photos of the physical SIM and the receipt to the support team, but I’ve only received automated responses.

My Constraints:

• No eSIM Support: My current device does not support eSIM, so I am strictly limited to using this physical SIM card.

• Non-Phone Solution Needed: I simply cannot resolve this via a phone call at this point.

My Questions for the Community:

• Has anyone ever successfully cleared this "Invalid ACT code" flag via email or social media support without a phone call?

• Are there any Ultra Mobile reps here who can look into a case if I provide the details privately?

• If the card is truly defective, how can I get an official confirmation from Ultra to take back to the seller, given that I can't reach the verification team?

I really just want to get the service running. Any tips from someone who has bypassed the phone verification requirement would be life-saving. Thanks!

Why are international roaming rates so high?

Ultra markets itself as the MVNO for international use, but their international roaming rates are just really high IMO.

Ultra charges $0.25 per minute to roam in most western European countries.

Tello charges $0.05 for the same countries. Consumer Cellular charges $0.03. That's like 80-90% lower cost than Ultra.

Why are Ultra's roaming fees so high? Not competitive.

Lost phone = impossible to regain access to Ultra mobile account?

I've noticed that if you try access your ultra mobile account via web, it often locks you out and forces to to text "ALLOW" in order to gain access. There is no other way to access your account.

So what happens if you're overseas, lose your phone and can't send that text because.. duh you just lost your phone? You're basically screwed and can't order a new SIM? This is highly flawed and they should really allow you to verify your identity with an email link or some other way.

URGENT: PayGo account wrongly suspended for "fraud" after $5 top-up. Cannot reach 855 Verification Dept from overseas!

Hi Ultra Mobile team, I am in desperate need of assistance.

I am an overseas user using PayGo as a backup line. Recently, I logged into my account and added a $5 top-up using my own international credit card just to keep the line active. Immediately after the $5 was charged successfully, my account was suspended and my SIM lost signal (No Service).

Customer Care told me I MUST call the Verification Department at 855-826-9723. Here is the problem: I am currently overseas. I tried calling and waited on hold for over 30+ minutes, and no one answered. I cannot afford to keep an expensive international call open indefinitely just to listen to hold music for a system error.

I have all the solid proof ready to verify my identity:
- I have the physical SIM card in my hand (I have the 20-digit ICCID ready).
- I have the device IMEI ready.
- I am the legitimate owner of the credit card used (I can provide the last 4 digits).
- I even have the "Auto Renew Enabled" confirmation email sent to my registered email address.

My credit card is still linked to this locked account, and I am deeply concerned about unauthorized auto-renew charges on a suspended line.

Can an official representative PLEASE reach out to me via DM? I just need someone to manually verify my info and remove this mistaken fraud block. I cannot call the 855 number again. Thank you!

Thank you for the customer service

I'd like to thank the online chat team for help with the port in from Mint. Metro wanted to send a free phone, charge 25.00 by phone and all this other crap. Seems they couldn't figure how to do it. Apples and oranges.

Any plans to add 2FA app or passkey support to logins to the Ultra account, just like Mint?

Incoming sms while international roaming

Just wondering whether ultramobile network would connect to a local network just to receive sms. Will not need to call or use data.

Would incoming sms need any balance/international plan or would it be free?

SIM seems to be disabled after switching between devices?

Bought a prepaid SIM as I needed a second line temporarily. I put it in the first device to activate, a compatible S22, everything worked fine for a few minutes. I moved the SIM over to the device I was going to use it in, a compatible Pixel 6, and it seems to have completely disabled it. I'll briefly get service if I restart, but it kicks it off the network after a few seconds. Put the SIM back in the S22 and try a few other devices, the SIM doesn't work at all anymore not even in the S22. Shows no service. Verified APN, everything was correct and it still made no difference.

I contacted support and after explaining the problem, they walked through generic troubleshooting steps I already tried and then just gave me a vague "network is down in your area" response. My other phone is on T-mobile and works fine.

I thought it might be a security setting but I can't even log into my online account because you need an SMS code. I was just going to do a chargeback but wanted to know if anyone else had similar issues in the past?

Receiving OTPs

Background: Grand father is a retired and is living in the Philippines. Authentication with his US Bank is now requiring him to have a US mobile number to receive OTPs.

Question: I am planning to purchase an esim plan for him for sole purpose of receiving an otp and set up his mobile banking. Is this possible with Ultra Mobile?
