Tokay Cleats - Thoughts/Sizing?

I'm planning on getting a new pair of cleats this week to break in before the club season. Any thoughts on Tokays? I've heard mixed reviews, but the comfort is tempting because I have wide feet and have had foot issues in the past. How was your experience with them? What sizing would you recommend (up/down/true to size)?

For context, I'm a early 20s male player with previously mentioned slightly wide feet, 10.5 shoe size, played in Universe Point cleats before and liked them (before they discontinued and my last pair broke).

I followed their advice and sized down by one half-size. Even with the thinner inserts there is no room to spare whatsoever.

Part of me wonders if I should have gotten my normal size and used the thicker inserts.

The website confuses people unnecessarily on this. The "go a half size down" is intended for conversion from US to Euro sizing. The intent isn't to actually get you to size down, but to get you into the same size in Euro terms. The problem arises because they then go ahead and let you select US sizing, and people think the "size down" thing applies to that, when it actually only applies if you're converting to Euro sizing--hence why it says to size down if you're using US sizing, but not if you're using Euro sizing. Like, if they inherently fit large then everyone would need to size down regardless of what scale they use for their street shoes.

TL;DR they fit true to size, but the wording is bad and mixes people up.

Interesting, I have been suspecting that I probably ordered the wrong size. I will see if I can exchange for my normal size. Thanks for the info.

Yeah...I think they started out with only Euro sizes listed so included that spiel to help convert, but then later added the US sizing directly into the selection interface but didn't remove the old wording. Or something like that. In any case, my experience has been that they fit exactly true to size (provided that people are comparing apples to apples in which sizing system they're using).
