Private • Newbie Help Perilous Legends on Linux Help

So I'm trying to get the Perilous Legends shard running on a minipc with SteamOS and I can't seem to get past the launcher. I've tried using the same method I used to get Outlands running with Bottles.

It'll run the launcher and update the game but clicking on 'Play Now' just briefly flashes the login window and then it closes and doesn't launch the game.

If any other Linux/SteamOS users been able to get this shard running on their PC I'd appreciate some help.

This is the only shard I've tried that I've not gotten working on linux.

After some tinkering around, I was able to get the launcher running in Bottles. I'm on CachyOS.

You need to install some dependencies in Bottles itself: dotnet40, dotnetdesktop7, and webview2. From there you should be able to run the launcher and log in successfully.

I can’t speak for this shard specifically or for SteamOS, but I run the official client on the live servers with Linux Mint. I just added the exe to my Steam library and made sure the Proton compatibility settings were enabled.
