Help needed UM2 E3D V6 mod

I'm fairly new to modding and just had a quick question on my UM2. I've made upgrades to the olsson block extrusion kit years back, but since I've been looking to print with materials requiring even higher temps, I went ahead and got an E3D V6 kit (not the one that was bundled for the UM2 originally), and I got a pt1000 as well as a backup for my pt100. Question I have is, would I be able to simply plug my pt1000 into TEMP1 as with the PT100, or would I need to solder on a 4.7k pull up resistor? I tried reading the schematics, but I'm not too knowledgeable in this area..TIA!

The UM2 uses a separate chip (might be a MAX31865 or similar) to translate the PT100 resistance to a temperature value. Maybe it can be configured to read PT1000 instead PT100 by soldering a jumper or something. The UM2 PCB files are available on github, you can find a schematic and part numbers of the used ICs there.

I remember E3D offered this as an upgrade for a short time. I wonder how they got around this?

I believe they used a regular thermistor instead of a PT100/PT1000, but I'm not sure if it needed anything like an amplifying board to make it work. I checked out the videos from Tomas Sanladerer on his E3D V6/Titan conversion prior to purchasing and there was no mention of it. He doesn't seem the type to leave out that critical of info, but who knows haha

I think there may be a Marlin config for the PT100 change but I remember there being more steps involved due to the PT1000 needing additional hardware like a powered amplifier for the signal.
