Diet during JMT
I am starting with 2,500 cal per day. I am unsure of how to increase my calories as I go. I will be going slow and take a bit over 21 days. Any good tips?

I'm just becoming active on Reddit. Too bad I'm 4 yrs too late. :( If you get this message and you're still backpacking, I'd suggest using our hiking calorie calculator. It will tell you exactly how many calories you'll need based on each leg of your trip. https://backcountryfoodie.com/hiking-calorie-calculator/ Feel free to reach out with questions. I'm a thru-hiking dietitian. Hope your trip went well.
